The truck arrived last week. It looks impressive.

Installed the battery trays. I decided to keep the weight balanced and as close to the center line of the truck as possible.

Motor went is with no issues. The mount is nice and beefy. Conversion came with a 12 tooth pinion and locked center diff. A regular diff is also in the works.
Check out the "back bone" brace. No flex what so ever.

Then came the ESC and the BEC. I also added the extra caps for good measure.
The kit came supplied with a sealed receiver box as well.

The kit also includes a new servo tray. Very well made and well thought out.

Plenty of room to work in with the customized cage installed.

Ran three sets of packs through this weekend. The kit, motor/ESC performed very well. Bashing in a very large lot. Top speed is very similar to Losi 5ive trucks. Amazing low end torque. Jumps very well and controllable.
I need better tire for the loose dirt conditions.

Just awesome man, I was hoping to see more of this truck.

That steering setup looks like what the Losi 5ive needs.

I think a spool is the way to go, even with the thickest oil brushless motors just heat up diffs, and heat is bad!

Is that an FM radio?:whip: Hobbyking sells 2.4 for $20:yipi:

Get some video!

I recall having a discussion about the performance value of a center diff as opposed to the drawback in heat when used in a 1/5 scale electric vehicle.

Thanks -paralized-.

I'm an old school, old fart. :) I have a JR radio, but it is FM...just not 2.4

I have about 30-40 cars and trucks on this radio system, so it would be really expensive to switch.

I guess I'll tell Monster Mike to skip the center diff then. I will not be racing, so I guess I'm set.

Any news if/when the conversion kit will be available?
