looks good... what kind of battery holders are those?..

Rtsbasic 09.27.2006 07:40 PM

Twin Force battery trays. I can see why a few people recommended them to me, do the job very well.

Yes, Mike should have them in stock. They are quite beefy as well. Another option is using associated battery cups. The kyosho's are better IMO

Rtsbasic 09.28.2006 05:14 AM

Yup. They're a bit more flexible than what I thought they would be, but do the job very well, much prefer them to the AE cups and TC3 trays I made.

Serum 09.28.2006 06:23 AM

True, the AE au cups have much more flex. I thought of a cool thing as a batterieholder, i will get some proto's done this weekend i hope.

Your gonna have to post some pics on here when you get around to it mate :)

Just given the car a test run with the new batt mounts etc, handles a lot better, couldn't make it tip over while cornering - the rear just kicked out into a nice slide when I pushed too hard, which is exactly what I like for bashing. Some excellent powersliding on gravel now. Much more level in the air, its ready to go down a BMX track. Plenty of power, but not quite the top end I'd like (i'd estimate its in the low 30's), 14 cells should fix that though.

One thing I've noticed about the Savage, is they steer a heck of a lot better than the Emaxx. My Emaxx has a Proline system, teflon pillow balls etc but the steering wasn't anywhere near as responsive as my Savage with the same servo.

Those are trays is exactly what I was lookin' for...

Serum 09.28.2006 12:26 PM

I sure will get pics up when i finish it RTS, no worries..

We'll be waitin'....:)

plan is to make a 'bag' from a safety belt from cars, make one side open, the bottom can use an aluminum insert for mounting it onto the chassis, and the open side of the bag can be closed with velcro..

Rtsbasic 09.28.2006 01:30 PM

Interesting idea, never seen one like that before. Definately get some pics up when you make them :)

Serum 09.28.2006 01:32 PM

Yeah, need to figure out where to buy some of those belts.

i would like to get some new ones.. Let's see.. Neighbours car!?

Rtsbasic 09.28.2006 01:34 PM

Hehe, think they might notice if you only took the passenger one? :D local scrapyard maybe? For prototypes at least.

neweuser 09.28.2006 01:35 PM

Get one from their back seat! Or salvage yard!

Serum 09.28.2006 01:37 PM
