Yea...I don't like alot of wires...But....It does monitor EACH cell...The temp probe would be nice though...I would probably buy the Liposhield if it had a temp probe...I still don't know...I think the Cellshield can be hooked up to a computer, right??

The Cellshield isn't ideal for RC cars, since it's made for airplanes. When the LVC kicks in, it pushes the throttle to 0 for airplanes, and on cars that's full brake/reverse. If you have reverse enabled, it will give it WOT reverse. If reverse is disabled, then it will just brake hard.

Dimension Engineering will be making a car version of the Cellshield, with the neutral throttle set-point in the correct position.

As for using the taps vs. not using the taps, it's better protection vs. not as good protection.

For a LVC? I would think that the Cellshield car-version would be the last LVC you should need...

I don't know. Dimension Engineering said it would only be a simple software change to get it to work properly. I'll ask, though.

With good quality cells, you don't need to worry about the individual cells voltage imo. for relative cheaper packs, it might be interesting though.

It's just not worth buyin' low quality anything... I'm tired of it.. I've spent $10, 000 the first year I was into RC.. and it was all because I didn't want to pay that little extra $$ and and up pay 3 or 4, or 5 times as much because they keep on breaking.. maybe it's just me...

I asked, and he said it's not a very high priority right now due to other projects he has. But he did say that if the demand is high enough, then he'll get it out sooner. So I gave him a link to the forums here, and told him he could get a pretty good number of people who would be interested. He hasn't responded to that yet...

So far I have spent $140 on the parts I ordered the other day, $12 for the UBEC, $90 for the motor, $135 for the ESC, $540 for the chassis, $200 for the batteries, $160 for the charger, $50 for the balancer, $20 for the LVC....So...Alot...I have yet to get the batteries and balancer, still waiting for those to come in...And I still gotta order a LVC and the balancer I'll order with the batteries. I had the UBEC, motor, and ESC...but it's not free and it's gotta be replaced by something since it was for the E-Revo....

These prices don't sound bad Squee. You did your share in shopping/searching.

All and all, you will have a sweet ride, once it's finished for a relative lowe price.

Yea, I kinda have to since I don't have a job...I forgot a few other things in that list (servo, Dace hubs, and some other stuff)...but you get it an idea of how much...

You really don't want to calculate on how much your truck costs. Bad for your conscience and nightrest.. Even though, you did your best in getting it cheap, the added numbers will be higher than expected.
