I looked at the photos and the ofna has four screws and the associated spur has three screws. It wont fit. BTY it may be reversed.

It is easier to drill 4 holes than dremel the whole center out of the spur.
They you still have to drill 4 holes to.

The Ofna fits the RRP Maxx slipper. Not sure about the MGT, but...Don't even bother to run ti with the metal spur. That will be $15+ down the drain. I gurantee it...

No problems, guys, the strobes are back in stock.

vette1 11.05.2006 10:28 PM

I have the Strobe on order and I will probably receive it on Mon. or Tues. However i still like to have a backup, and not only that but what if I design something new and cool. I doubt it but I can still try.

You guys are telling me that the Ofna spur gear will fit the RRS but I don't understand how. As far as I know the screw holes don't line up. If anybody knows how please post photos and info on this thread.

Thank you.

i had to fit a ofna 51 spur to a RRP slipper plate once.

i dont have pics, but i had to press the plate onto the spur with a bench vice (there is an indentationin the spur)very carefully because it is a tight fit. after i just drilled new holes in the spur. it came out perfictly round............

maybe this will help

I tried what you said and boy what a project. It works ok but it does wobble a little. Also, I put a flat spot on the motor and I had a problem getting the pinion on. Finally made it on after having multiple problems and not the pinion is a little wobblely also. I have to see if I can get the flat spot more even so it will be perfectly flat. Than maybe I will not have the problem anymore.

I'm getting my strobe slipper parts and Monter GT parts tommorrow in the mail, Mike is sending out the rest of the stuff that I need today so I will not have to worry about the slipper anymore. However does anybody have advice to make the metal shaft that comes out of the motor perfectly flat so that I do not have a wobbleling pinion anymore?

Well, just get it as flat as you can. I used a file on the final step for mine.

Nice one,I am building this type of machine, but for me it is harder than you guys, because I have to wait many weeks each time I need some parts that we don't have in France.

Keep going.

I mean:come in France try to make an e-revo or g-revo and you'll anderstand!

neweuser 11.09.2006 04:08 PM

I'm sure. I hear that is a problem! Too bad they cannot make parts out there or at least have decent hobby shops eh?

CHX MT PROD 11.09.2006 04:13 PM

You're right,I order some parts at 2coolrc and I don't find them efficient...
In France there is some shops where they do some parts but not like in U.S,+ you got better prices as well, lucky guys...
