I think I got you. If you can't hold the item to mill you are done.
|

but for the stuff i mill, i find the store bought "hold downs" way too big.... so i made my own base and hold down clamps... these are very useful when milling plate work... http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4...p/P1150169.jpg each clamp has its own height adjustment thingee.....no need for aditional riser blocks..... http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4...p/P1150170.jpg |
That is very cool. If you don't mind me asking, how much did you pay for your mill?
|
Nice! I have something similar on my mill, but it is a huge compared to a small one since i use it for my buisness as well. Nice job though!

i hear that you can purchase it cheaper in the US...bout 600USD?.... |
i ment the mill, but i like ur stuff to =)
|
opps my bad....
please see post just before your last one....:005: |
how did you design the parts you made?
|
i don't...i mill on the fly....hope that makes sense...
basically for example...i wanna hook up the engine to the tranny...i hold the engine in a position where i think will fit and see what i need to hold it in that particular location...once i do that, i mill whatever i dun need off the piece. and i'll be left with what you see.... |
holy crap, thats amazing.
