You're selling your revo, too?!!!

I really wished I was the one to get your 950 at the time, though. I'm broke now.....:(

Sylvester 05.20.2007 05:04 PM

What revo you selling Rene? How much? PM please :)

Serum 05.20.2007 05:22 PM

No man! that's not what i meant.. :)
I meant that he was looking for a brushless setup for his revo; he asked questions about it; that's the reason why i asked if he was looking for a brushless setup for his revo. I read the post, and understand how it got messed up though.. :p

Yep, I bought a revo roller with the intention of converting it to BL. I bought the rc-monster BL motor mount that works with the stock mount along with a UBEC (fast shipping btw) and plan on doing the conversion as soon as I can get a grip on what motor/ESC combo to use. I want to use the stock tranny and gearing if possible. If not, I need some direction on a good setup. Back in the day when the choice of brushless motors was pretty sparse (Hacker, Lehner) it was easy to make make choice. Now there's so many motors available it makes it much more time consuming to research the available options. Any suggestions for something inexpensive and bomb-proof?

It was just a feew years ago when I used to catch a lot of crap from the gas guys about for running BR/BL setups in my boats. Now you see more guys running electrics than anything else. And the electrics are more reliable and faster.

Brushless Vector........damn........I've been tinkering the with the thought of an electric Vector for the last few years. With the advances in BL technology and wealth of interest in electric power, someone is gonna make a conversion kit.

I want one so bad I'd let you borrow my Gallardo if you'd sell it to me : )

Hey!!!!

This is very innovative! very nicely done. I would like to ask if you have a number of upper decks available? I would like to get one along with the battery and motor mount.....

hey Serum,

Did you ever get a chance to get that car on a good track and work all the bugs out to see what it could do?

I am getting ready to convert a 1\10 onroad(gpx4) what did you have to do to get the savage spur on there?

Oh this is way cool
I have an old Vector lying around. 1:8 Nitro is great but it is WAY too noisy. I would love to convert it to a Brushless setup!
I hope Serpent is reading here. Time for them to introduce (and conquer) a new class! 1:8 EP Brushless

Thanks for sharing!

How do you like it compared to nitro?

Plettenberg say: "Orbit 25 series are great choice for .40 to .91 to electric conversion"

I'm happy with this ! Performances and speed are approximatly the same as nitro: I have more motor torque; with 6 lipos, the car was sliding too much, so now I have "only" 5x4800 Kokam.
My other brushless cars have many power too:

I'm really thinking of getting a Kyosho Evolva or a Mugen MRX-4 and convert it to brushless. Who'd help me, though?...

I only want to feel the 100mph running through my vains....

Serum....well...

BlackedOutREVO 01.17.2008 10:52 PM

do the Mugen, there such nice cars!

JEFFRO503 01.20.2008 02:25 PM

Serum......

Did you end up getting the serpent back out for some test runs? I had been searching for anyone doing a conversion like this for a while , i guess i should have came here first...DOH!

Anyways....your conversion looks great , and just wanted to see what the final outcome of it was. From the looks of it , it should of been extremely fast with the right gearing and all. I've seen quite a few of the nitro 1/8 onroads run and they are CRAZY FRIGGIN' FAST! But i think if an electric conversion was done right , it would be even faster.

Anyways...always look forward to seeing one of your conversions on here , hope to see some more pics of the serpent!!
