The slipperential with 46T should fit into the G3 if you mount the CD mount like it is mounted in my build. At least if the size is consistent with normal mod1 46T gears.

MIKAK I can somewhat agree with the logic, but everyone has been hounding Mike for two years to make a diff/motor mount that will fit into the Maxx truck(drop in fit) just like the other mounts he has made for other turck/cars. That is all that we wanted and asked for. Where did this universal thing come into play? The original design was a work of art and that is what a lot of us were hoping for. $89, $100, or $200 is beside the point. It was a direct fit into the Maxx truck which made things simple. Why could we not just get that? I am sure that most of us will find some way to make this work in our trucks, but there are others out there who will not be able to get this just right, because it was changed. No one is trying to make Mike or you feel bad, but this is not what we expected considering what we have been pushing for for more than 24 months of exchanging emails and posts on here.

Breathe old man, breathe :intello::intello::intello:.

I have some 46T Kyosho spur gears I can use with this mount on my gmaxx or supermaxx.

plettenbergs 02.07.2010 10:13 PM

Maybe Mike will offer a bottom plate for the Tmaxx setup ?

JERRY2KONE 02.07.2010 10:30 PM

Surely

I am sure that this will all work out on some level. First off you cannot tell me that adding the bottom plate to this kit will make this setup an additional $200. That's just rediculous. That plate is a very simple piece to CNC. I can see making some changes to anything in an effort to improve the design for weight, and versitility, but what was wrong with the other design?

This is just like waiting for the Tesla electric sports car to be released, and ending up with an old rusty volkswagon bug with a shop fan motor installed on each wheel to propell it like 10-15 mph. It is just not what allot of us were expecting. Of course we may all be jumping to conclusions over how it works out. We shall see. Poor Harold is on the verge of having a heart attack after receiving note that the design was changed.

Mike I know you are reading these so please if possible there are quite a few of us that would still like to purchase a MAXX diff/motor mount just like the one you sold last time with the bottom plate. Is this possible?

Yea this was a good game. The Saints took some chances and it paid off. Great game. Sorry Lito.

George16 02.07.2010 11:27 PM

No need to be sorry. Neither of them are my teams (still rooting for the Lions and 49'ers) so I pick the team opposite what everyone want to win just to piss people off here oon the ship. But now they're all happy.

I got to go to work. Damn hospital still open even though everything is close.

Rivermaxx 02.08.2010 12:03 AM

It even says not intended for inexperienced hobbiest lol. Drilling 4 holes in a bottom skid plate shouldnt be too hard for the average rc'er. Not everything can be bolt on especially with all the different stock and aftermarket e-maxx type chassis out there (I count at least 8 different configurations not all the same) especially this early stage in production of the mount. All I have to say is finally its here so dont complain. If your going to put this on a lightning chassis I personally would use a GA titanium or stock aluminum ue skid plate and drill and countersink the holes and it should be good to go so so simple.

feistyacorn 02.08.2010 01:12 AM

 Awesome Mike!!! I have mine on order! I plan on using this in my G3R and I didnt need the plate anyway, so I am all good here. Now I just need a center diff and some drive shafts.

Does FLM and RCM use the same shop??? Maybe FLM could redesign their standard maxx skid plate to include mounting for this CD mount. http://www.rc-monster.com/proddetail...LM16010&cat=31 Just an idea.

JERRY2KONE 02.08.2010 01:38 AM

Great idea

Great idea considering that it is only $7.50 a pop. Either way something will work.

RC-Monster Mike 02.08.2010 01:50 AM

I thought everyone would be happy they were made available - I don't quite understand the complaining, either. This setup hasn't dramatically changed from the few others I made previously - the CD height changed slightly, along with the top plate and front piece(to match the top). There is good reason for the MINOR CHANGES - The top plate is secured to the motor mount with 2 screws - there is no need for 2 screws on the front piece as well. I also had to change to top plate so it was compatible with the Slipperential(also why the height changed - a 46t spur will fit without a spur cut-out underneath). I also added the bored holes at the top side of the screw holes for ease of use(no need to remove the motorscrews when installing or removing the motor, as they slide out the top of the holes). Finally, I added holes on the side to allow use of turnbuckles for those installing in a G2R or G3R(some had mentioned this) - I also have made a shorter front piece for this that fits snugly under the front steering plate on the G2R and G3R vehicles.

I didn't list the original skid with this - I instead choose to include a simple drill template so folks can install it wherever they like(other vehicle applications were mentioned in this thread) - The 3905 maxx wasn't even out when I first made this, and I am gonna assume many will end up on the new truck rather than the old truck, so I didn't want to force the skid on people that weren't gonna use it(originally this was made and fitted to the original FLM emaxx chassis). If you need a skid for the old FLM emaxx, all you have to do is ask me - this is a simple part to make, and also very simple to use the included template to drill the FLM skid that is already matched to the chassis.

_paralyzed_ 02.08.2010 03:09 AM

I guess I should explain myself. The end result simply isn't what I was expecting. I only sold the unit I had because I made over 200% profit, and I thought that I could replace it. I never placed it for sale, I was approached and asked to sell it.

Also, yeah, I can drill 4 holes. I cannot drill 4 holes and attain the fit and finish of Rc-Monster quality. Anything I do will look "hack" in comparison to what I sold. It is a disappointment. Any standard skid drilled and countersunk will have very little material left.

Also, the LST conversion I have planned for this mount utilized the bottom plate.

I apologize, I threw a fit.

I assumed there was a cad file somewhere and that the new units would match the old. I am glad to see provisions for turnbuckles and that it was made to fit the slipperential. That is awesome news. Also the added height will make this much easier for custom applications, as Mike explained above.

All in all excellent work. I simply reacted poorly.:oh:

JERRY2KONE 02.08.2010 03:51 AM

Not alone.

You were not alone Harold. I to did nto realize what the changes were, and was disappointed to see that it was not the same unit. I to will need the plate since I am planning to mount this on the original 3906 EMaxx flm chassis and the Lightning chassis as well. I to want the RCM fit and finish, not some hack job that I have to make out of the FLM skid. CNC work like this is always better if it comes from the source. So MIke if possible can you please make some plates up and send two with my center diff mounts that I placed on order in your store? Thank you Sir.

_paralyzed_ 02.08.2010 04:30 AM

PM sent Mike, two cd/motor mounts paid for via pay-pal. I'd also like 1 FLM 3906 skid for use with this. I 'll work something out for my LST conversion.

Please let me know the additional charge. Thank you for the excellent products.

Electric Eel 02.08.2010 06:40 AM

There is a positive side. With this project done, Mike can now concentrate on the long delayed Baja conversion kit!

Sheesh, you guys and your ancient vehicles! Get a Revo! :sarcastic:

Actually, I still run my original E-Maxx with Hacker motor. How bad is that?

JoFreak 02.08.2010 09:21 AM

And he can restock the slipperentials ;)

JERRY2KONE 02.08.2010 09:27 AM

Amen

:oh: Don’t get frustrated Mike. This mount is better than I expected!

lutach 02.08.2010 02:27 PM

People are never happy. I like them a lot Mike and I will get one.

George16 02.08.2010 07:14 PM

I already ordered one and will mount it on my gmaxx. I content with the product.

Kcaz25 02.08.2010 07:36 PM

Lito, I thought you parted ways with the E-Maxx?

I'm really excited about this unit! I will be getting one in a few days. I'm understand this discontent to a point but I'm content. What I don't understand is the lack of screw holes in the picture on the opposite side of the motor mount where it attaches to a chassis.

JERRY2KONE 02.08.2010 10:20 PM

Anybody heard

Just curious anyboddy heard anything about when they are shipping yet?

That was my original intent but a more powerful figure descended on me and said, " Don't sell it". Seriuosly though, when my wife found out that I was going to sell it, she ask me why. I told here I need to sell it because of th e following reasons:

1. I rarely drive it.
2. I want to buy another truck.
3. They don't make this type of truck anymore.

I guess it has grown on her because she said just keep it and buy another truck. I wasn't expecting that answer. Then she went on to say that I deserve to buy whatever truck I want because being on a ship means I get to receive extra money (sea pay which is $500 a month). I just converted an X2 CR pro. I'm going to reassemble the gmaxx and use it for speed runs only.

What can I say? She's a keeper :party::party::party:

JERRY2KONE 02.08.2010 11:28 PM

Blah blah blah

(Lito):What can I say? She's a keeper

Yea:whip: blah blah blah:whistle: gag gag gag:neutral: puke!!!:surprised:

Good for you Lito:yipi:. It is nice to have a woman who understands us and also supports our hobby:party:. What a life huh?

Dear sir, yes! It made me sad when I heard you say all that on UE I think it was. I don't care how big the Losi 8T 4.0 hinge pins are. lol My cousin has a 8T 1.0 that I can compete with. I've driven it. It is awesome. My 10 year old designed Maxx is awesome too.

Well there goes the first porduction run!!! I knew these things would sell like hotcakes. Did you get enough Mikak?

George16 02.10.2010 09:39 PM

I just received a shipping info this morning. I can't wait to receive it by next week.

Jerry, nice weather you guys have in Seoul right now. It's been cold, raining, and windy here in Yoko msince yesterday.

Mikak 02.14.2010 05:37 AM

who else recieved theres? post pics of them installed im trying to mount one to a Gmaxx.

Rivermaxx 02.14.2010 05:52 AM

I got mine saturday but for some reason it was in limbo at the po from the 9th to the 12th. Did Priority mail 2-3 days turned to 5 days lol.

Mikak 02.14.2010 05:55 AM

what are you putting it in?

_paralyzed_ 02.14.2010 05:58 AM

my 2 are on their way, going in my cybermaxx and an LST. I'm trying to get my buddy to buy one for his FLM'd out savage fogger

Rivermaxx 02.14.2010 06:21 AM

I havent decided yet. I would like to put it in a lightning chassis but havent found one yet. Maybe my G4maxx or my g-3 high speed maxx having the motor centered on the chassis might help the high speed 75mph drift issues I was having helping the truck go straight.

JERRY2KONE 02.14.2010 06:21 AM

Mail

Mail is a little bit slow getting over to us here, but it should be in some time this week I would expect. We shall see where they end up.
