Like Randy said. Repairing isnt the end of the world. If a repair is whats needed then why replace the whole unit.

As for the case- tekin will take care of you..

Just checked tracking on mine- its waiting in my mailbox :)

No - they donīt have to replace the whole unit but they have to do professional work ... Please keep in mind that I spend over 300$ for the combo and drove the whole set for only a minute.
If they send me a new case I have to do their work ... If I
break something it is my fault and warranty is lost. And of course I will have to wait another two weeks for the parcel - because they send it with standard mail to germany. (I received my last order from amainhobbies in just two days !(with UPS Express)

Never mind ... Tekin (the company with great service and the best technicians producing long lasting ESCs and rotors for your 1/8) will take care of you :

Sounds much better than the experience I had with my Monster ESC.
I got treated worse and it took longer, and I am not even overseas. Mine did last 20 minutes or so, versus Topas's 1 minute.
Sorry Topas if you feel like you got treated badly. But I dont think you want the MMM. They wouldnt even send me a case or fan because of their "rules". Id have to send it back in and wait another 6 to 6 1/2 weeks for them to repair it!
I woud definately buy a Tekin RX8 over a MMM anytime, anyday!
Again just my .02 cents.

Got my rotor in the mail yesterday for my buggy motor. I'll take the time this week end to put it in.
I have 2 MMM esc, and the only reason I have 2 is because the first one I bought went poof within 5 min of test driving and I had been waiting a month to get my replacement back from Castle. About 2 weeks after buying my 2nd MMM, I received my warranty replaced ESC from Castle.
Both ESC's are still going strong, but the fans are what keeps breaking now. 2 or 3 race days and I need a new fan. Not a new case/fan for $12 + shipping. Just a fan, that should cost $3 at the rate I'm having to replace them.

So how are the new rotors holding up? Any failures as of yet?

I'm really thinking about getting a T8 motor.

TekinTeamMgr 12.06.2009 01:41 PM

Haven't seen any of the latest rotors fail. Nobody at the recent ROAR champs had a failure.

shawzie 12.06.2009 03:02 PM

How are the upgrades to the ESC's doing.Any returns of the new boards?

TekinTeamMgr 12.06.2009 06:23 PM

No, so far the new boards are holding steady.

Marvin 12.06.2009 06:48 PM

Still yet to receive my rotors from you though. What shipping do you use?!?!?

I have bought a T8 1400kV buggy motor for next season, don't let me down!

Well I bought myself 1700kv motor for next season.. but it's a neu. I even won't sell my T8 to anybody I know because some ppl might be concerned why I gave them motor and two extra rotors and told them that rotor that last longest from all is glued by me..... on track....... in the night and quite dark, while I was drunk....
maybe new version rotor will be ok, but I got enough of racing with my nerves out of control not because of race, but because of irreversible breakdown that is coming any second..

Marvin 12.07.2009 05:11 PM

I've already been through that this season (Tekin 1700kV), but I'm giving them benefit of the doubt that the new rotors might actually last. I will be getting a backup though...

Still running the crap out of my two year old Neu/Castle 2200Kv:na:
