I see where your coming from, just hav like angled fins, or just strait fins...i dont have money for that, unless mike is willing to use me as a guinea pig (I HOPE!!)
MIKE U BETTER READ THIS |
Well after two days of running, ive balded 2 sets of rear tires, blown the foam out of 2 tires, all without thermaling the esc.
When i finally actually peaked the pack, the mm's overvoltage thing kicked in, so i had to turn the car on and off a few times... Here is the first look at the Brushless raze! http://i152.photobucket.com/albums/s...0/100_0952.jpg http://i152.photobucket.com/albums/s...0/100_0953.jpg Here is the blown tire from today http://i152.photobucket.com/albums/s...0/100_0955.jpg i lost both of my lower kingpin screws.... then in the process of trying to fix them, stripped the threads in the Hub itself... so new ones will be on the way shortly http://i152.photobucket.com/albums/s...0/100_0951.jpg I have a nice set of road tires now! i think im gonna hit them with some wd40 to soften the rubber for more bite... i havent seen a wheelie yet... http://i152.photobucket.com/albums/s...0/100_0957.jpg |

If you use the "timer" feature of your camera you can hold it more still when you snap the photo, it will net clearer photos ;) When you (I) push the button to snap the photo it's almost impossible to not shake the camera just a touch.

P.S. just noticed the boots, you been playing fire fighter?
And nice job on the DD, are you going to go for 4wd? |
1- i know, i need to stay still
2.Those are my sisters boots, she is a firefighter and emt.....(weird yes..) i just used her room cuz its got better light 3. i plan to run 4wd when i ever find a short enuff dogbone and thanks! |
Servo horn's screw is backing out...:mdr:
Nice tires too. Now if you can manage to make it 4wd again, your tire problem will probably ease up, and you'll have monstrous amounts of traction. I like the simplicity of the setup. Have you considered doing direct diff for the front as well? A guy over at RC zone (GordonFreeman username) did a direct to diff setup for both the front and rear of his buggy. The only catch is you need two ESCs and two batteries. |
i actually need to switch that servo.. its acting stupid, think the gears are stripped... it would not hold center
i need one midget of a dogbone to fit in there...i dont know if a dogbone will even work because of the deflection angle. The setup itself is very simple, easy to do. I have seen Gordon, but his car has got to be really heavy with 2 outrunners and escs |
Hmm, I'd move the motor to the rear more, lower it as much as possible, and have Mike make two driveshafts, voila, 4wd! Thanks for this thread, I've got two buggies collecting dust that I now want to convert with an outrunner like you did.
|
i know, this setup was thrown together on friday night so i could wreck my freinds nitro rs4 evo+
..i did... I dont have money for new dogbones! l0ol srry for being so blunt.. not unless anyone would like to help a brother out? lol |
I've got a bunch of e-maxx front cvd's, pin on one end, cvd on the other, 6mm shaft size. They're pretty short, I can't get a measurement till tomorrow, if you can grind the front motor shaft down to 6mm it just might work, can you get a measurement of the length you need?
|
i need like 65-70mm and its 8mm shaft, i would rather not shave down the shaft if i dont have to
|
|
i wanna say that's about their length, but I can't help ya if you're stuck to 8mm, but I understand....
|
can you drill them out?
