Did everybody get his custom german engineered chassis?

Unfortunately Matt is at the mercy of the CNC shop owner, which keeps putting his project on the back burner due to more high priority work. I would imagine that it is because he is getting somewhat of a break on the price so he is lower on the food chain. It is taking a while to get it all completed, but this project is a serious one of a kind setup that he has made some very cool (re-designed) changes to, and it is worth waiting for. When he gave us an update last month the parts were about 80% completed, so hopefully we will see some movement soon. Hey Matt any luck yet???

:smile:i need to go by this week to see new prototype....he is giving me a good deal, but, i want them finnished.I am sick of the BACK BURNER BS!....thank goodness i am not trying to make a living selling emaxx chassis:lol:....i have everyone on a list and will notafy everyone when they are ready!

FYI:the complete assembled DirectDrive Emaxximum Chassis is in the +$300 range!

JERRY2KONE 05.03.2009 06:21 PM

Thank you matt.

Thanks Matt for the update. Glad to hear that things are still moving in a forward direction. Sorry for your stressful situation. You get delays from him and demands from the guys on our side of things. Thats ok, I aill wait as long as it takes for this creation. Dont let it get to you. Keep up the good work. The pricing sounds very generous.

Is this project dead in the water? Haven't seen anything regarding the new chassis in a while.

I just exchanged emails with Matt a few days ago and he was checking on the CNC progress with the machine shop. The matter is not dead, but he is running into a lot of issues with the shop that he is using. Because the shop is giving him a pretty fair price his work keeps getting put behind higher priority stuff. After all hobby stuff really is not the CNC shops bread a butter. It may still be a while before he sees any of them completed, but he is still working the matter and remains hopeful.

That is one beauty chassis you have there... really wish I could have had something like that when I had a maxx truck.

Cool, that's good to hear, I'm definitely still down for one. Bummer that the shop has been pushing this project back for so many months already.

It looks like a awesome truck but why isnt the motor towards the front . With the definate possibility of the truck doing wheelies with brushless power all the time. My g-4 maxx with setbacks comes up all the time with ease @ 30 mph and it has more weight forward than the maxxler. If it was possible I think designing it so the motor toward the front would of been a definate design improvement. What is the number of teeth on the spur it looks really big and is it steel with nitride coating or some sort of brass alloy.

plettenbergs 10.16.2009 08:42 PM

hey River,
i changed several other things about the maxxler but not the motor position...too much of a pain in the ass...my chassis will not have the titanium nitride coateD spur...it will come with the 68 or 72 tooth RR spur gear...they are cheap and easy for anyone to replace...mine will have STROBE!
"Controlled" wheelies are fun as hell anyway!
I want to see a 100mph whelie!

Rivermaxx 10.16.2009 09:52 PM

I just want to see 100mph but a wheelie could be catastrophic and be costly.

plettenbergs 10.16.2009 10:00 PM

I HEARD THAT!
i hope you have some extra bodies and wheels/tires, there is bound to be some small incidents as you aproach 100 ? those tires are the RIGHT move, they seem a little skinny,i thought they would be wide like a Lambo or Porsche 911?

Bondonutz 10.16.2009 10:18 PM

Wow, Sick looking trucks and machine work. Nice !
