Is it me, or is there a sudden increase in these motors/esc's going wrong,my rotors seperated, and now my esc has developed a fault,i cannot fault Ty at Tekin,he has been very helpfull, but these are not cheap units, especially so when you live in the UK/Europe,when these go wrong there is normally a minimum 2 weeks before you get replacements from the US,it is starting to get a little frustrating, especially as i was talked into getting the Tekin combo instead of the cc mamba combo, they do not seem to be suffering anywhere near the same amount of trouble/failures,no doubt Tekin will get these issues sorted, but a bit hard on the people, who have laid out a lot of money to get these items from the US.

Which is why I asked about who pays for the postage fees when I have to send my dead esc back.

Don't know the answer yet, I really dont mind the waiting although its a bit pain in the ass but still. Oh the postage fees are aroun 70$ from Finland if I don't want to wait up to 30 (!!!) days to get it delivered to Tekin.

Talking about "What if's".. wish my ESC was second generation or even working properly so I wouldn't have to worry about these things.

Who do you think we've been trying to get help from?? Santa Claus? (j/k)

Seriously... I've had an email conversation with Randy re: v200 firmware and raised my issues with him already and the only response I've had is email support.

I've since got a response from Ty this morning asking me to re-flash the ESC which I've done many times since.. but did it again anyways, just in case.

Topas 09.15.2009 07:02 AM

No help from Tekin yet .... I re- sent the email this morning....

Topas 09.16.2009 01:25 AM

I got a reply from Tekin - I have to send the ESC back ...

Same here, I'm just so slow doing things that I haven't done that yet

Should send it in tomorrow. Then it will be back in maybe two weeks.

Topas 09.16.2009 03:09 PM

Tekins service is the worst I have ever seen !

1. They sell ESCs of a "bad batch" - this is the reason why so many ESCs were affected
2. I asked if they can send out an ESC the same time I send out the defective one
-- I was told that I have to provide my Credit Card # for security reasons - I provided the data immediately

Now I receive a mail:
"Hello,

Unfortunately I'm not able to do this at the current time.
You will have to send in your service ahead of time.

We recently ran into an issue with this and until further
notice I can no longer offer this service."

Thank you very much Tekin - this is service at its best.

Afgelopen weekend in purmerend gereden, daarvoor Belgish kampioenschap...
Kijk op www.no-nitro.nl voor de info over races. Deze site is nog in ontwikkeling maar het begint ergens op te lijken. De Races beginnen nu langzaam opgang te komen.

Aaah, meer Nederlanders hier heh.

Topas, I told you that we had done that in the past and that I would check on it. NOT that it was ok.

I was in attendance at the IIC race in Las vegas the past week or so. I was checking emails as often as I had internet there.

There is no 2nd generation RX8. We made a running change the some proccess's. We didn't puposel ship out bad units, that would be rediculous. It costs us the time in labor hours, shipping etc to warranty them as well. That would be a lose lose for everyone involved.

As I've said on over a dozen othe forums: we've identified the problem, made the proper adjsutments, and are moving forward.
