It will still have more torque and efficiency, despite the gearing.

Will you use 4S or 6S?

RC toy 09.25.2010 08:44 AM

6S

By the way, I really like this forum because I get an answer after 3 minutes!!!!:yipi: It is like chating on Skype

Orders in. Thanks Castle. I used the money order option. I'll be mailing that check in ASAP.

Quick question. It wants me to mail the money order to the 235 South Kansas Ave address. I thought you guys moved?

But what about runtimes? Will there be any difference bettwen 1515 and 1518?

Its not going to change appreciatively either way.

I got my tracking number, but I selected USPS as option, but it sent me a UPS tracking notice!

I hope they don't make me sign for it!

Yes, that's right. We still own 235 Kansas Ave, and the mail and UPS are automatically forwarded. But you should send it to the new address:

Castle Creations
540 N Rogers Rd.
Olathe, KS 66062

I'll let the web people know that the address hasn't been changed in the cart system yet.

Thanx!

Patrick

OK, I dont want to create a new thread so I am writing here. I have an 1515 2200kv in my emaxx. I calculated that that speed vith my 17t pinion is 53 mph and if would have 1518 1800kv I would need 20t pinion to reach the same speed but with higher gearing I reduce runtime, increase heat on the motor and I think acceleration would be about the same because of the pinion. So can someone tell me why would 1518 be better?

Not knowing your entire set up the 1518 would be better than the 2200 on 6s because the RPMs will be way lower and generate less heat and that eqauls more efficiency.

nuz69 09.25.2010 02:31 PM

+1, higher efficiency, higher runtimes. Your setup will exactly require same power on a longer motor ;) But it will add you 30 gramms !

I ordered yesterday, but still don't have confirmation e mail about my credit card charging and order process )-:
I hope they will reserve the motors while still in payment process.
I really want to try the 1520 on my XT8 and the 1518 on my 808 (both of them have the 2200 now)

Their just waiting to see what the limit is on your card so they can send a extra motor to all of us ?

Not unless you want to sell it to me for $45.00 ?
BTW, I did get that 1717 cleaned up after the swim and she works like new.

ZippyBasher 09.25.2010 05:38 PM

So I had to buy a 1520. I am broke as hell but still cant pass that up! LOL

SOO 1520 owners, even 1518 owners. do the 3mm front screws cut it? or should they be tapped to 4mm? Its just that I was worried with my 70mm Medusa and now the 1520 is 89mm long...

Another Note to Castle: I had put on in my cart at work and chose Priority and it was ~$5.00 now at home Priority is $9.95? WTF?

V0RT3X 09.25.2010 05:46 PM

You will be fine. Someone mentioned in the 1717 thread that the 3mm have a very high break force and it's impossible to break them.

But I'll have to drill out my muggy mount for the 1717.
