I used to run M2K's on one of my T3's. They were great because they soaked up bumps and gave it great ground clearance, but the motor didn't have the torque to turn them, so I sold them.

A lower ride can make up for the bigger tires (at least a bit)

Or, if you're not content with the gearing on smaller tires, you can also get another pinion :D

camel_rc 08.31.2005 06:59 PM

I guess, but if you've ever seen one of these things with M2K's, you would want to put some on it too!

Sorry about that Dafni. I was just tring to make a joke.

crazyjr 09.03.2005 12:35 AM

sorry wrong thread

coolhandcountry 09.03.2005 09:33 AM

I was looking for the joke. I Thought I was going crazy. :)

crazyjr 09.04.2005 12:55 AM

Sorry coolhand, the joke was in another thread

camel_rc 09.05.2005 02:38 AM

Yeah, stop clogging up my thread!

camel_rc 09.25.2005 12:25 AM

Dang it! You wouldn't think 9 cells would be all that hard to fit under a body...

camel_rc 10.01.2005 03:12 AM

Alright, made a new battery setup and it's up and running.

I took it for a little test run on a almost dead battery and this thing scares me! I rolled the throttle and the thing takes off with a wheelie and then goes onto the back right wheel and then flips across the street! I can't wait to take it to some dirt and see how it flies.

Cool!!

How is the ballance of the car? (left/right?)

is your motor slightly off-line?

I'll bet it's light weight ride! it's a clean setup you made!

The balance of the car isn't that bad.

The motor is a little off-line, but that isn't causing any trouble so far.

For a nitro vehicle, yes it's a light ride, but when I pick up my FT B4 after I put down the MT2, it's seems like a feather compared to the BL beast.

Hey there,

I have a normal MT2 and thinking of making it electric. It isn't the SS so is the drivetrain weaker?

I also thought of making it rear wheel drive (or front wheel drive? Servo/Motor takes up alot of room), removing the front driveshaft allowing battery space, good/bad idea?

Thanks.

camel_rc 10.02.2005 05:51 PM

The drivetrain is a little weaker, but it should stand up to the force of the BL.

I think it is best to leave it in 4wd mode. When I was testing mine, the front drive shaft fell out and it sucked with only the rear wheels being powered.

The ideal setup would be to have the weight of the batteries evenly distributed, but having 9 on one side doesn't seem to be causing any trouble. If you are running lipo, this woudn't be much trouble because the battery would be so light it wouldn't matter too much.

You gotta run that thing during the day, everytime I've seen it, the dim light of a streetlight just isn't enough!
