I don't care about the first in hand. I just need an esc.... lol having fried 2 now and getting the shaft from quark I need something for my e-revo that I know will not blow up on 5s.

kulangflow 04.14.2008 09:17 AM

I am patient for receiving it. I pretty much expect shipping delays for one reason or another. I just want to get it ordered to be sure I'm in on the first batch of them, whenever they happen to arrive.

JERRY2KONE 04.14.2008 09:18 AM

Sure Thing.

Sure they have:neutral:. HA :rofl:HA :rofl:HA :rofl:HA:rofl: HA :rofl:HA  If this were a public store sale I bet it would be just like when the PS3, and the "Tikle Me Elmo" doll came out and people were fighting in front of Wal-Mart trying to make sure that they were not going to miss out on the stock that was on hand. Beating each other up physically for a freakin toy. People work themselves up into a frenzy determined to get what they want no matter what. All I want to see is that when I log on here that someone like Joe has posted up a note to say come on in and place your orders, and we will have your ESC to you in a week or so. Probably limited one or two per customer to spread the wealth.

I asked them a couple of days ago, and they said they're not going to have a limit per customer. This frightens me a bit because I don't want some rich guy to buy a ton of them to sell at triple cost on eBay.

E-Revonut 04.14.2008 09:44 AM

That's inevitably going to happen. I can see them easily going for double on ebay. Thankfully I have decided to give up on my e-revo and threw everything in my 3905 maxx. Now I can wait to get a mmm until everyone else experiments with it

BrianG 04.14.2008 09:48 AM

I don't think the rich guy will necessarily set the price to 3X the cost, the bidding wars alone will get it up there. He could even set the auction to start at $1...

kulangflow 04.14.2008 10:00 AM

Good point. Maybe some really nice rich guy will buy a ton of them and set "Buy It Now" at only $10 above his cost. [/dream]

JERRY2KONE 04.14.2008 10:06 AM

Rich

Of course if he was really rich as suggested he would sell them for much less. as a favor to the R/C community. BrianG is rich isn't he???:rofl: Just foolin BG.

DickyT 04.14.2008 10:09 AM

I feel like a crack addict looking for his next rock and the street pharmacist is in prison. No running off road truck = withdrawl. lol

BrianG 04.14.2008 10:17 AM

lol, I'm not rich by any means. But, I think someone here (won't mention names) who has several dozen R/Cs, might fit in that category...

JERRY2KONE 04.14.2008 10:20 AM

Oh!!!

OH you must be talking about the pimp:yes:. Everyone knows he's rich and has no responsibilities to worry himself about:intello:. I bet he'll be buying a half dozen MMM's.

I'm in debt... isn't that the opposite of rich? But I do have plenty of credit available. I'll take two please, lol :rules:

DrKnow65 04.14.2008 10:24 AM

Can't speak for the rest of the community, but I'm realy hoping to have the cash available when the MMM shows up. Budget is tight as I'm not able to get back to work till May 1st, think I'll be doing a bit of selling pretty quick here.

BrianG 04.14.2008 10:28 AM

Don't forget, it's not how much, it's how much per month.

I sure have paid my dues. I spent over 20 years working hard in the US Navy:whip: and now I get my whole monthly retirement check, which my wife tells me is my fun money. I still work right now, but for the first time in my life, not because I have to. I have spent the last 7 years paying over $70,000 in child support, and $20,000 in legal fees. It is sad that my children have lost their mother, but I have finally made it over the hump and can breath a little bit. My hobby ambitions will grow a quite a bit this year with my two boys wanting to get into the hobby. Life is good.

hobbimaster 04.16.2008 09:00 AM

Wow, Was'nt expecting tower to have that kind of price on a preorder. There usually jacked up, and then go down when they become available. If price does go down, dont see it being by that much since MAP was already stated by Castle at $199.

Actually, MAP was stated as $170.95, not $199.

tha5150 04.16.2008 09:27 AM

so now i am confused. if you choose the buy now option, you can choose to buy now with these options....

To continue, please make a back-order choice for this item
Yes, I'd like to back order this item
No, do not back order this item

does that mean as soon as they get it they will ship it out? that means 1 week after the pre order sales at MAP price, they will get it for cheaper than CC will offer????

Yep so if you are a Supersaver/gold member and you get the usual discounts $35. for an order over $225, with free shipping you save almost $50 on your order. That translates to acquiring the MMM for under $120 shipped. Sounds good to me.

skellyo 04.16.2008 10:01 AM

Edit: My Apologies to JERRY2KONE for being argumentative in this thread.

tha5150 04.16.2008 10:07 AM

well, i want to get motors and other stuff from here. do i just wait for the MMM to be avaliable here and try to save on shipping or what

i am SO confused.

i need an 8xl, and everything else that goes with it from here.. and then the MMM...
help me here guys.

JERRY2KONE 04.16.2008 10:09 AM

There are deffinitely ways to save money when ordering anything if you look hard enough for the sales, discounts, codes, and coupons. Don't be impatient and get in too much of a hurry and miss out on simple ways to save some of your hard earned money. If your not sure just ask on here and I am sure that someone will have an imput that may save you a few dollars.

is that a 1 time code?

hobbimaster 04.16.2008 10:28 AM

Nope, the $170.95 is the price Castle is going to offer this as a pre-release sale on their site one week prior to the distributers getting it in. $199 is the MAP, According to Patrick from Castle.

tha5150 04.16.2008 11:14 AM

how much is shipping here? how long does it take?

i am trying to figure out the diffrence is i order the 8xl and all parts needed with that from here. and then get the MMM from castle shipped.
that vs. all the parts from here including the MMM. will it be able a week diffrence or what til its on here?

all i want to figure out is the diffrence in price from waiting a week. doesnt seem like 15 bucks is that much to wait a week for. i have to broke titans right now = no play. :(

theJoker 04.16.2008 11:36 AM

Do "WE" know when the motor (neu/castle) will be ready?

Arct1k 04.16.2008 11:51 AM

Nope - summer is best guess which may mean autumn - too far out at this stage i think

Mike's Priority shipping is usually $5 and he's legendary for being extremely fast. Hope that helps.

That is exactly what I said in my post to begin with, if you read it.

Sower 04.16.2008 12:06 PM

Right, but there is a $15 discount on the $165 order.

JERRY2KONE 04.16.2008 12:08 PM

Best.

Your best bet may be to either call or email Mike directly and discuss what you need and see if you can work something out with him to get close to what you are looking for in price. If you order from RC Monster then you get it all at one time if everything is in stock. That sounds like the simplest thing to do. I hope that works out for you.

skellyo 04.16.2008 02:49 PM

My apologies to JERRY2KONE for my prior posts that appeared as personal attacks. No harm was meant and certainly was not my intent.

Using the discount code he showed in a prior post, it is possible to get the MMM for ~$130 shipped if you purchase enough for a $225 order and are a Super Saver Club Member.
