I think it would be a great and entertaining race on a big track, also it would show new comers to r/c that you don't need a fortune to play :027:

We had previously decided that we'll run any class for which there are enough entries. The minis may have a tough time getting around a track that monster trucks have been beating on for two days, but that doesn't mean it wouldn't be fun :003:
As far as how many "enough entries" is, we don't have a solid number, but you can expect we'll run a class if there are 5 or more entries for it. Again, that number isn't set in stone, but it's a good starting point.

On another note, we're going to start advertising The Bash on other forums since it's only a few months away and it's time to start drumming up interest! If you know of any R/C forums that would be happy to have us start a thread, please let me know.

I'm a member of Ultimate rc, Radio control zone, rc tech, rcuniverse and a couple of others

crazyjr 05.06.2006 08:03 PM

I know Dabid and Metalman are mods on Ultimate RC and Dabid and Dafni are mods at LSARC so we need to get their input on how to advertize there. I can check RC Universe and RC Tech to see if and where I could post a thread. Let me know if you want me to check

I wish :018:. Although I am one of the members with a very high post count, and many know me there.

Well if you add the link in your signature it goes to all you have posted. Which would really spread it thru forum.

Batfish 06.06.2006 09:39 AM

The link in the signature is a good idea :003:

Hello Folks,

For those who have previously filled out the sign-up form at http://www.rc-monster.com/_vti_bin/s...nster_Bash.htm
I'd like to ask you to please fill it out again, at your convenience.
During the server move a little while ago, there were some email changes and this form did not send us the information during that time.

Please feel free to fill it out again and submit the information to us.

We're only about 6 weeks away!

Hope to see many of you there!

neweuser 06.21.2006 01:41 PM

It's a sign-up form to help us get an idea of how many people we can expect, as well as get some information about what they are running so we are better prepared at the event. There's no commitment on your part when filling out the form.

Plus, we need to know how many hamburgers to buy for the cookout :)

crazyjr 06.21.2006 07:37 PM

There is absolutely no cutoff for pre-registration. Heck, you can even show up on the day of the event and we'll let you participate - there's just no guarantee that we'll have enough food for you if we don't know you're showing up :003:

You are also welcome to put "Tentative" in any of the fields on the form (preferrably in one of the name fields, in addition to your name). This way we'll know that you might make it.

toby 06.21.2006 08:51 PM

i want to come. any idea how far this is from connecticut?

squeeforever 06.21.2006 09:24 PM

Use MapQuest.com It will tell you ETA, how far, ect.

Batfish 07.10.2006 03:55 PM

Only 3 1/2 weeks left until The RC-Monster Bash!

There's still time to sign up: http://www.rc-monster.com/_vti_bin/s...nster_Bash.htm

There's still time to make reservations!

There's still time to get that vehicle tuned up!

Hope to see you there!

Batfish 07.10.2006 03:57 PM

For those who will be attending, and are members in other forums, please start a thread in those other forums and invite others to come to the event. :003:
The more faces we see there, the more fun we'll have!

Thank you!

How about track amenities? AC? pit tables? shade? :027: Also is there going to be a bashing area other than the track?

neweuser 07.19.2006 04:12 PM

That is also a question i would like to know, mainly because my driving expertise is not on a track! So i have not signed up fro racing or anything. I'm just going to show up with killians and my truck!

neweuser 07.19.2006 04:26 PM

LOL, Shhhhyeah! More is good, good is more! The only time drunken drivin is allowed....IS WITH RC!

HotnCold 07.19.2006 04:42 PM

Track Amenities

There is no A/C at the track - ( the track races 12 months a year - spring summer fall outside and late fall winter early spring inside - A/C is definately not possible) there is ample shade for those who wish to pit inside - with electric - and usually the track designates 3 foot for pit space on big races (depending on entries - if there is more pit room available - it can be utilized) . There will be a bunch of RC-Monster merchandise available that RC-Monster Mike will bring on each day to help with the unavoidable "oopsies" that occur. There is also space for outdoor pitting - however if you want to have shade outdoors - plan on bringing a small canopy with you. As far as for bashing - there is a small area that is within walking distance from the track - that could be used for bashing - however i dont know who owns it - and i have never seen anyone by it - so that being said - i dont really know.

I know that you are probably joking about the drinking and driving r/c thing but, at the local track this past weekend - someone got seriously injured by someone not paying attention and full out wrecking an 1/8 scale into a turn marshal. Imagine what else could of have happened if alcohol would of have been involved. An ambulance ride to the hospital and a cut to the bone that required 18 stitches and numerous bumps and bruises. Not good to have that happen - Especially with the speed of these brushless R/C's. That being said - MAN I CANT WAIT TILL THE BASH!!!!!

sjcrss 07.19.2006 05:10 PM

I'll be in tow with newe.....also my driving has never been on a track, so I'm not to sure if I will be racing, but I will be pitting with newe for sure...I'm looking forward to meeting everyone else...

Batfish 07.19.2006 06:59 PM

Don't shy away from entering the racing just because you haven't been on a track before - after all, The RC-Monster Bash was conceived to get as many of us together as possible. Believe me, you'll like running your truck on a track if you haven't done it before :027:
You definitely don't need to win, or even be competitive, to have fun at this event. Heck, I'm sure I won't be winning a thing :005:

If we have enough novices there, we'll even run a "Novice/Bashers" class. This event is going to be a BLAST! Please don't shy away for ANY reason, especially lack of racing experience :003:

That sums it up - Its shaping up to be an awesome weekend - :D :dft009: ;) :003:

Well if I make it I sure could use to be in that rookie class. :D
I have never raced on a track. Not sure if can stay between the lines.

Batfish 07.19.2006 11:55 PM

Hello Folks!

Just over 2 weeks away!

There have been a couple minor changes to The RC-Monster Bash, so head on over to the official thread ( http://www.rc-monster.com/forum/showthread.php?t=2545 ) and re-download the flyer for all of the current information.

See you in a couple weeks!

Don't you worry, Leroy...we'll make sure EVERYone who makes it from the forums feels at home.

While this bash is going on, someone is going to have to start a new thread for those few poor lonely souls who are unable to make it and are left behind. :dft004:
