I need to accurately weigh it, I just know it feels a bit heavy when I pick it up.
I also do not drive like your normal nitro truggy driver. I properly downside jumps, ease into corners and rarely hit full throttle. I have never hit a marshal or slammed into another truck when it could have been avoided by slowing down. Trust me, I hate the average nitro truggy driver's driving habits and detest turn marshaling for them. I am an electric guy, I try to have some class out there. That being said, I would probably low volt at the 11 minute mark if I wasn't trying to be careful. I may just start sitting out the longer mains for now since my truck is perfect for 10 minutes. My track is getting more and more electric truggies, so hopefully the tides will turn. |

Had some time to tinker with my XT8E.The RCM kit fits the Xray kit perfectly plus the Xray parts quality is exceptional.Very easy build so far.The RCM even has mounting holes for the MMM ESC.Now what motor?

hi i just converted a new out of the box 2009 xt8 to brushless using the RCM kit , mmm 2200kv combo & i have the 90 deg diff in the front, every thing fits nicely, the truggy handles like a dream and runs perfect, but i am having a problem on hard launches and heavy breaking i am getting a very loud clack clack clack sound the diff are shimmed and build perfectly i have re done it over 3 times and every thing is smooth, any idea off what might be causing this? metal pinion on metal spur?
More likely you need to shim your front and/or rear diffs
i did i added one shim sending the diff closer to the bevel gear same issue , looking at it the gears seem to mesh perfectly
Was the truggy used before you converted it? I had an ofna back in the day that had problems with the gears inside the diff case. After I replaced them with a new set all was good. Also, a slipperential is a great investment....
