I really would like to get some sort of plug & play kit for my/the G3-chassis.
meaning: a slipperential, a motor/slipperential-mount and if necessary center driveshafts that fit in place
would be great! :yipi:

Good news! I don't have a G-Maxx but I've been watching the progress on the slipperential for a long time, good to see it finally hitting the shelves.

What does a G-Maxx have to do with it? Its just a center diff with a slipper. It would work in your Muggy, Hyper 7, so on...

Arct1k 03.18.2009 10:00 PM

squee - the goal is also to get a mount for it that fits in a g3r/gmaxx

Ohh, last I knew they were for a G-Maxx but I've pretty much lost interest in them.

ssspconcepts 03.25.2009 03:41 PM

Mike...I got some $$$ burning a hole in my pocket. when can we anticipate the slipperential diff hitting the "shelves" in your RCM online store?

azjc 03.25.2009 06:51 PM

if you send Mike an Email you will get a quicker response

JERRY2KONE 03.25.2009 07:10 PM

Picture.

I like the picture. Have you seen the movie? We went to see it last night. Pretty good movie. I was surprized at seeing everyone laughing at how outrageous he was, and with a theater full of asian's everyone was crying at the end. It is a great movie, but not at all what I was expecting with a name like "Gran Torino".

Sorry for hijaking the thread. We would all like to know whats up with the slipperential?????

RC-Monster Mike 03.25.2009 07:53 PM

I am working on packaging them up and tidying up the inctructions - They will be selling by the weekend. :)

BP-Revo 03.25.2009 08:05 PM

Simply Awesome!

Now that the slipperential is done, I can continue my Revo truggy project a lot more seriously.

Mike, am I correct to assume its possible to use truggy style CVD outdrive cups with flat spots in them so I can use mechanical brakes?

RC-Monster Mike 03.25.2009 08:09 PM

Not only is this correct, but the outdrives that are included have flat spot already and we will offer a brake disc specifically for the included out drives. :)

Great news Mike. It is nice to see that all of your hard work is coming to light. I hope this thing sells like we believe it will, so you can smile throughout 2009. Any luck with getting some of those Maxx center diff mounts made up?

BP-Revo 03.25.2009 08:46 PM

Noting that, any word on approximate pricing as well as a way to have RCM Members get first dibs before they all sell out 5 minutes after its posted. lol

crazyjr 03.25.2009 10:52 PM

I may have found a solution to my problem, seems Mike has some of the fastlane 3095 adapters at his store. So i can do the E-revo tranny after all, good luck with the center diffs

alangsam 03.26.2009 07:21 AM

That's the adapters that fastlane made to adapt the 3095 transmission to their chassis that only accepts the 3096 transmission, They have updated the chassis and no longer make the adapters. Will have to mod it a bit, but should work nicely

jhautz 03.26.2009 11:05 AM

This is it. Couple pictures of the production model.

Thanks for posting the pics, Jeff - I was about to do the same. :)

Hardstyle 03.26.2009 11:10 AM

Woa I just creamed my pants. Thats awesome, very compact design.. Any test runs done yet? How it runs?

JoFreak 03.26.2009 11:21 AM

And now an additional pic of the G3 mountings and I'm the happiest man in the whole wide world!

RC-Monster Mike 03.26.2009 11:22 AM

Its been tested and tuned for over a year. They will be available in the store this weekend - I will let the product speak for itself in terms of performance. :)

RC-Monster Mike 03.26.2009 11:23 AM

G3 mounting wil be tricky - the smallest spur size is the 46t shown(and included). a 44t spur BARELY fits between the chassis braces on a G3(or tmaxx/emaxx). None the less, I will work on various startegies to allow this item to install in various vehicles. :)

Fair enough. Have to get one for testing someday  People will buy these like crazy im sure :mdr:

gixxer 03.26.2009 12:06 PM

looks great. one more step forward for electric 8th scale. Will order one of these as soon as I get another 8th scale.

lincpimp 03.26.2009 12:18 PM

Any chance of a weight comparison between this and a std center diff with either a plastic or steel spur?

Looks good Mike, bet you are glad to finally get it in the store...

crazyjr 03.26.2009 03:50 PM

I don't want people to think i hate center diffs, its just that i will probably need a transmission for racing. If the time comes i need a balls out unlimited revo, I'll be calling. good luck on the center diffs guys

superek4 03.28.2009 12:59 AM

hey mike do u make this for a CRT?

Arct1k 03.28.2009 07:57 AM

It is universal refer to the new forum section for more info

I think the picture might be decieving. The internal cavity for the gears is about the same size as any other diff. Internal gear size is the same as anything else also.

The adjuster nut making the outside wall of the diff cup look unusually big is probably the reason the inside appears to be small in the picture.

OK, just thought I'd ask. Nice look and factory looking finish

123revo 05.19.2009 08:32 AM

so are there slipperentials that will fit brushless converted revos? is this the slipperential advertised for sale on the online shop?

suicideneil 05.19.2009 11:58 AM

No, and yes.

This is designed to replace the center diff or spool seen on most 1/8 buggies and truggies, though it can also be used in custom applications that use 1/8 center diff braces- you cant stick it inside the revo tranny if thats what you're asking, not without some major modding (so far as I know).

123revo 05.20.2009 09:40 AM

ah ok thanks cobber, was looking at all the ways this thing fitted to the various cars and i cant imagine this thing sitting inside the revo tranny without some major surgery. however it would be the ultimate if it was smalll enough to do so. for now i will just need to drive with a light finger.
