PM sent

I received the 200A esc last nite. Fast shipping as usual.

I left a first impression review Here and the problem I encountered.

Let me know how your testing goes snellemin after you add your caps.

Little update:

I was talking with the factory last night and I asked for a new capacitor set up for the ESCs. In about 5 minutes the engineer had made 2 types to show me. I decided to go with the one with 4 small caps as it packs the most punch. They might also do 2 crazy ESCs and if they do make them, I'll post something here ASAP. Here are the pics:

Looks nice.

I hooked up the 4800kv Medusa onto the Rustler with the heavy beadlocks and Imex tires. With the use of a cold 3s1p A123, 200A ESC, 58/25 gearing, it pulled my voltage down to 4.39V@153A, peak 786W. I'll drive it around through grass tomorrow and see how the motor and esc behave.

Nice. Did you have any stuttering issues? How was the start ups? I asked the factory to do their best for the ESC to work good in sensorless mode with 4 pole and higher motors and they're waiting for some info. I told them I tested my Neu 1515/1.5Y with 4S unloaded and it didn't have any issues.

Did another run w/3s2p A123 and peaked it at 182A@5.88V with a peak of 1204Watts. In 4 minutes I consumed 1400mah.

The ESC is really smooth with the medusa. No cogging whatsoever.

Nice. The ESC is sure putting out a lot of power. Almost at its peak. It'll be nice to see someone that has a Tekin RS Pro try the same thing. I wish the weather was better here so I can do some runs as well. I guess me buggin' them to make sure the ESC will work good with a multi pole motor paid off .

BL_RV0 11.30.2008 05:06 PM

That's good. I'm planning a 1/10 project and will need 2 escs.

snellemin 12.03.2008 03:54 AM

I just tried a silly 9/44 32P gearing in my big pan car, running the 2.5T motor on 3s1p A123 in my garage. It moved forward everytime and smoothly at that. But take out the sensor cable and you get some serious cogging. I need VHT to put some load on this motor.
