how big are the UE springs?
i need springs with:
outerdiameter: 19mm
innerdiameter: 16
length:80-100mm i believe

JoFreak 09.18.2009 06:11 PM

no, the front shocks are not going to be too short, on the contrary: for several shock towers the rear shocks are going to be too long.
I would start with the recommended oil as well, and as far as I know you get the heavier oil in the front shocks and the lighter oil in the back shocks.

Maxxrickard 09.19.2009 03:09 AM

okey. 70wt front and 60 in the rear?
but i have the harder spring in the rear?rookie....
if i dont find harder springs is it possible to use longer springs?i will by a set of fron/rear spring and will use the front spring, but if they are to soft in the rear i maybe can use the rear springs in the rear....
will it be more firm if the are longer?

JoFreak 09.19.2009 07:13 AM

only if you use progressive springs, if you use normal springs it won't work

Rivermaxx 09.19.2009 08:41 AM

In my experience ofna springs are too soft you need UE supershocks springs. 2 black and 2 blue.

Maxxrickard 09.19.2009 10:31 AM

hmm thats not fun...
is it still possible to buy them?anybody have 2 blue and 2 black for me..?

how big are UE springs?inner/outer diameter?

billytruck said he will get back too me 28:e sep. hope he have..

Maxxrickard 09.20.2009 03:38 PM

i reallt starting to like the UE shocks, but i cant find them anywhere...

if billytruck dont have 4 shocks i really must by the ofna shocks. but the ofna hard springs seem to be to soft.
i find "Associated Shock Springs Extra Firm Copper MGT" looks good
"...Supports 6.90 pounds of pressure." is that hard enough?

JoFreak 09.20.2009 05:38 PM

don't get this the wrong way, but how often do we have to repeat: the UE supershocks are the same as the ofna shocks which are identical to the jamara shocks I posted a link to a few posts ago

Rivermaxx 09.20.2009 09:50 PM

Just buy some traxxas big bores and be done with it.

Maxxrickard 09.21.2009 01:15 PM

okey, sorry guys...
yes i can buy big bores, but i really would like to use 4 shocks
i can buy the jamara/xixcr shocks but the problem are the springs. i cant fint extra firm springs...tips?

is it possible to use 4 big bores?

JoFreak 09.21.2009 03:18 PM

in that case, you didn't even look for other springs:
took me like 2 minutes to find
and now go and find the hardest springs you can find in the store...

JoFreak 09.21.2009 03:37 PM

how do you know that they are to soft?
allready tried them?

Rivermaxx 09.21.2009 07:02 PM

Yes, I have tried them,Understand a mt is quite a bit heavier than a buggy or truggy. They will work but not like UE ss springs.

Maxxrickard 09.22.2009 01:49 PM

thank you guys for your patience. thank you guys for all suggestions and tips.
i will not buy ofna or traxxas big bore.

thanks US for ebay. i am a happy owner of 4 UE supershocks NIB with 4 black and 4 blue springs.
