Also, thanks for playing the 12 days of Christmas giveaway. I scored some good swag.

You'll be happy to hear we received the 1410 and 1415 sensored motors yesterday. They are currently running batch testing to verify they're good and we should start shipping motor only backorders to end users today!

Patrick, any leaky info on the which kv's are coming in the 1406 model yet? I know we talked about it here and I saw a pic of Hemistorm running a 1900kv.

Nothing "official" yet, but there are several Kv's we are testing from 1900-3800 in the 1406.

Thanks!

Come on Patrick, there's 1900 different options in that range

True. Here's a hint:

The 1406-4600 is a 1 turn motor

The 1406-1900 is a 2.5 turn motor

nitrostarter 03.02.2017 12:01 PM

So 1406-3700 and 1406-2800 as well?

I can't comment on that.

I promise not to spill the beans...

The 1900kv should be awesome on 4s too.

whitrzac 03.02.2017 03:45 PM

I need this in my life...

the 15xx size motors draw a lot more than I expected in a crawler, runtimes suffered more than i expected.

Since kv is inversely proportional to turn count:
1/4600=217.39uKvT
1/1900=210.53uKvT

Average=213.96uKvT

(The change in uKvT is probably not truly linear, but for simplicity I will assume so since I only have two values to extrapolate from.)

Therefore, a 1.5T should be around 3100kv, and 2T should be around 2300kv?

1/(213.96u*1.5T)=3100kv @ 1.5T
1/(213.96u*2T)=2300kv @ 2T

Yeah, I was bored.

There's the smarts I was looking for.

Beans spilled on a 1406-3800kv on the old facesbook

nitrostarter 03.05.2017 10:22 AM

1406-2280kv
1406-2850kv
