Maybe put a servo, receiver and rx pack in it, then you can drive it when you push it down a hill

What would you call that? A super roller!

At least it would have incredible effecientcy and super low temps! Just what we are looking for!

Ah, "the wait". Brutal. But hey, at least it's on it's way!

By the way, I have a couple nice bodies for it I just put on eBay. We talked about them about a week ago - so let me know if you're still interested.

Welcome to the XT8 club :yipi:

t-maxxracer32 11.08.2007 03:38 PM

t-maxxracer32 11.10.2007 01:15 PM

sower

do you notice anything on the xt8 that needs upgrading? or needs to be replaced?

anything wrong with it at all you notice?

gtxracer 11.10.2007 06:55 PM

I think Daf broke the rear diff pinion and had to make a support for it. Check out his thread.

The only thing I see is that the body posts look like they'll break. I also read on another forum that many guys are drilling a hole all the way through and using a long screw and bolt to fix it. Otherwise, it all looks sweet. I must admit though, mine came with all the plastic blocks replaced with aluminum as well as the front steering knuckles and rear upright hubs.

t-maxxracer32 11.12.2007 06:18 PM

HAHA yours is ready to race the heck out of!!

they dont sell upgraded body posts?

ill have to check it out when mine comes. hopefully in the next week.

t-maxxracer32 11.15.2007 04:48 PM

so i ordered the mgm 16018 from a member on her (gixxer? i think)

it should be here soon!

am i going to have to do anything to keep the temps down on it?

t-maxxracer32 11.20.2007 06:59 PM

mgm came today!

everything looks good!!

and wow... they are using some massive freakin wires!! sheesh

got a question.

with the 2.5d 5s true-rc lipos and the 16018 what should my gearing be?

i will get evo 30s later i just dont have the money for them now.

thanks

Patrick 11.20.2007 07:23 PM

At the moment I'm using 46/13 in my truggy with a quark, 1515 2.5D (1700kv), 5s2p 8000mah true rc lipo's. It's geared for about 35mph (haven't radared though) and seems like a good speed for racing. Everything stays nice and cool after 6 mins of racing, and uses 1400-1600 mahs, so I might go to a 14t pinion once I get the hang of it a bit more.
For high speed use 46/16 is about the same FDR as I used in my e-maxx without issues.
