MadDog, can you show me a picture of how you have your transmission servo/linkage mounted? I just got finished mounting mine the way the Gorilla instruction sheet shows and I'm not really happy with the fit. I nearly distroyed the tranny detent trying to get the linkage in the way it says. I was trying to bend the shift linkage like the instructions stated and ended up bending the tranny detent a little at the linkage hole while trying to bend it back after inserting it (it kept falling out so I was putting the bend back in).

It looks like your method is much less work and a better fit too...

reciever pack

hello i was wondering if i run a reciever pack do i unplug the black jumper under controller or not.i am very new to bl.i have a 9l 9918 set up.

Yes, you need to unplug the BEC jumper. (however i heard people running both, but i have seen brushed controllers going up in smoke by using both..)

RC-Monster Mike 06.20.2005 05:54 AM

It is ok to run both on low cell counts(8 or less), but for 12+ cell operation it is better to unplug the black jumper when using an external BEC or receiver pack.

so if your running a reciever pack you take the big black jumper off and leave it off? what about the little black one?

barndog 06.21.2005 08:28 PM

black jumper

what if you unplug the red wire from the reciever plug.

Leave the jumper that isn't covered in the heat shrink(programming jumper). The controller won't work without it.

That is how you would do it if the black jumper wasn't there to pull out. It is easier to pull the jumper(and put it back if you need the BEC) than it is to mess with the rec. lead (and once you pull it from here, the wire will never stay in as well again).

squeeforever 06.21.2005 11:39 PM

what about the little black one under the big one. about an eight inch think.there is one on both the orange and black jumpers.

Serum 06.22.2005 03:18 AM

That is not a jumper, that is the plastic that hold the two pins toghether for the jumpers.

look here..
