Straightened out the body and it looked better, but the tire is gone! Not sure why it came apart, but it sure was fun playing with it!

Looks like someone had some fun today!! What happened to that poor body...

MTBikerTim 04.14.2008 08:58 PM

Yep we need an explanation on that one. That body looks like it has some serious road rash.

lincpimp 04.14.2008 09:03 PM

Well, the constant flips and stunts tore the rear of the body off the posts. I have a bunch of basher bodies, so I said to hell with it and kept playing. I think that the tire let go and took the body with it, then flipped the tuck and twisted it up. Body could do with some repair, but is fine. The tire is gone, but I have more laying around. Really fun truck, 8s power is great, and the temps are good too. Even the feigao 14xl does not get over 160, no matter how hard I bash it. The esc does not go over 120, and the batteries are at 115 or so. Cheap components and they work great together!

A broken body or tire is a small price to pay for fun:smile:

Not long ago I broke my 18B as I hit a curb wide open running a mamba set up w/ 2s and the 6800 kit..I broke several front end parts but WOW it was WELL worth $ 20- in parts and 1 hr. of my time to fix

I am quite impressed with the 14xl. Is shoegoo just clear silicone? Or is it something different? Where is it sold, local hardware store?

david lamontagn 04.14.2008 10:45 PM

Which ESC did you use in it James?

aqwut 04.14.2008 10:47 PM

I use shoe goo for everything man.. it dries up clear, and is pretty tough.. I staple the body and shoe goo over it... after 24 hours.. it's awesome... or you could use Super goop or amazing goop..

Hey David, it is a great planes 60 amp HV model. Got it from tower hobbies. Works great on 8s and can handle 12s according to the specs. It barley gets warm too, and does not get much airflow!
