Servo
I recently broke my servo it was a Hitec 645MG, which I wasn't very pleased with anyway, better than stock but not a massive improvement.
I'm looking for something around the same price maybe abit more that gives a faster and more powerful response to turning. Hope you can help, thanks. :) |
JRZ650 is similarly priced with more speed. It works great in my revo(nitro). I have the TG servo inmjy e-revo, which is incredible. I can turn the 40 series tires lock to lock at a standstill in grass! Pricey, but powerful!

Sorry, Nick. I haven't listed in yet. it is a hitec digital servo-333oz/in of torque and .15 speed at 6 volts. I will list them with the servos-they will be in stock this week.

I have got the jr z650 in my sons stock emaxx. It made a notable difference from stock and seems stronger and faster. The supermaxx has the 5955tg, outstanding.:D

I'm intrested in the TG but don't want to hit it like I did with this one. A rather nasty shaped stone smashed it.
Any ideas? Are servo covers any good? |
Anyone use the Hitech robot servo I might use those for my crawlers :C:

Most of the discussions I have read about Robot/5995tg vs 5955tg concluded that the 5955tg was the better choice for car applications. The reasons for this are:
1. 5995 features cool heatsink case, 5995 nada 2. torque and speed are the same @6V 3. 5995 servo rotates 180 degrees compared to the traditional 75 degrees most R/C servos travel, requires additional servo programmer $$$ to dial out excess travel. I hope that helps. |
If you have a controller with epa on it. You shouldn't need the programmer. You could limit the range with controller. Correct or am I thinking to much again? :D

I sincerely doubt that a controler could dial out that much travel, over 100deg., through EPA. I could be wrong, would not be the first time.:)

My controller will dial out all movement of the servo. 0% is no movement. Will work with throttle and brake as well.

Heck, he may want 180deg. servo travel. I hear what your saying about EPA. I just think dialing out 80deg. -vs- 180deg is greater than 100% reduction in EPA. Follow my logic?:C:

I understand what you saying. It is all good papa. We probably talking about same thing just don't know it yet. I get lost sometimes. :D

I am pretty sure the controller could dial out the travel. It dials out travel as a percentage of total travel-not degrees of travel. If you wanted to use the robot servo, it would likely work. the car servo would be the obvious choice, though.
