Wow, a 2650 in a CRT.5! The motor must weight more than the vehicle.

RUSTED 05.27.2009 04:18 PM

loool , nah it wasnt.

yes, my crt.5 needed a motor since those cheap hobby city motors didnt last 1 and a half week , and the 2650 was sitting in the box so i said y not put it on the crt.5, first the bearing on the rear hub broke , then the bearing on the motor

Ever put a couple drops of lube on them?

RUSTED 05.27.2009 04:36 PM

nope , it basically like new , ive only tried it twice on my buggy, then sold my buggy and the motor sat in the box for a couple of days then i put it on the crt.5, at first i thought that the shaft or gears broke but was surprised that it was the motor

Hello,

I swapped out all the bearings in my 2650 and 2200 for ceramics from Boca. The rear cover does come off, but when I did the epoxy pulled off some electrical tape that is wrapped around the wires coming out of the motor. I easily added some new insluation (shoe goo) and off I went.

Motor is very smooth, and very cool.

I used these from boca.

I will post pics tonight

I was also curious, what sized bearing do we need to replace the Tork Flux motor ones?

It will be the same. The Tork motor is a CC2200 with a different can.

I am assuming that they run they 5x16x5 bearing as well.

The tork 2200kv is the same motor as the neu castle 2200kv, but is black instead of green

Arrrrgh, I meant what size are the dumb bearings!!! :whip:

prhess 05.28.2009 04:15 PM

5x16x5

5mm - inside diameter
16mm - outside diameter
5mm - thickness

I know this for sure as I have replaced my castle-neus bearings. The front and rear are the same size.
