New HC Outrunner-

Who's gonna be the first to use one of these in a conversion!!?? HOLY CRAP

FastXR 06.11.2009 01:09 PM

Linc should put that sucker on his weed eater!

MetalMan 06.11.2009 01:12 PM

New outrunner, huh? Then tell me why I've got the 130 kv version of it (the one shown in the picture) in my garage

BrianG 06.11.2009 01:15 PM

5.8 ft-lbs of torque at the shaft, and that's without gearing added in! :oh:

FastXR 06.11.2009 01:16 PM

Because you also have a time travelling Delorean in your garage as well?

Hmmm. Well I haven't ever seen that design in the site before. It's not the same as the purple ones...

zeropointbug 06.11.2009 01:43 PM

$150 !

$150

$150 ?

$150....

$150!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What's_nitro? 06.11.2009 01:48 PM

$150 for a 9 HP outrunner aint that bad. If it said Axi, Scorpion, or Neu on the side it would cost well over $1000.

MetalMan 06.11.2009 01:54 PM

They probably did recently change the picture, but that design has been out for a while. Mine's been in my garage for about a year now  The idea was to make an e-bike using it but that hasn't happened...

nitrostarter 06.11.2009 01:54 PM

I was just thinking of that motor in a boat or something, but I'd need a gear multiplier, not reduction...

zeropointbug 06.11.2009 02:13 PM

That motor with this controller.

Along with a servo driver to control the speed controller... use that in a lawn mower, weed eater, whatever you want.

This motor would be alot of motor for a bike... the way I like it! But it would have cogging problems most likely in such application.

zeropointbug 06.11.2009 02:17 PM

A boat would work for sure.

I wonder what kind of efficiency these things have? Hopefully it's up around 85+%.

e-mike 06.11.2009 04:14 PM

lincpimp 06.11.2009 04:18 PM

I was thinking that motor with this controller, 120amps at 12s lipo : http://www.hobbycity.com/hobbycity/s..._Brushless_ESC
