Yeshobby.com Battman 4s 30c 5000mah
I ordered three of these on Friday the 5th and received them Friday the 12th. I paid 60 dollars a pack. They shipped from China via fedex for free.
I finally got to testing these suckers out today and I am all but too happy with their performance. To start, I checked their initial voltage on all three and all three were balanced and in good condition. I examined the packs, nice shrink wrap and even plastic on the corners unlike some Zippy's with the exposed cells. Second, I liked that they are rated at a 2c charge rate, so I placed them in my charger and balanced them at 10 amps. Roughly took 2800 or so on the first charge, which was in about 20 minutes. I hooked it up to my converted raze (XERun 150a and Kershaw 2075) and walked down to my usual bashing area. I bashed the car hard and held full throttle many times through some of the longer straighter areas. I tested the full throttle from stand point and everything. I got roughly 40 minutes out of the battery before reaching lvc. Motor and ESC were both a bit hot after, I have her geared a bit high, but the pack was moderately warm like most of my lipos get, pack stayed mostly balanced throughout the complete discharge, I think cell four was a bit higher than the rest. After an hour cool I recharged to full capacity and the pack took just shy of 5000mah and charged in about 35 minutes at 10 amps. Pros: Great punch 2c charge rate come with 5.5 mm plugs nicely shrink wrapped including both front and back ends free shipping at hobbycity prices Cons: 8 gauge wire, sucks for those who haven't/don't run 5.5 mm plugs. Funny name on pack Worth the investment: Hell yes. |
Holy unheard of lipos Batman!
Those look alright though, and good intial test results. Will look forward to seeing some long term testing but so far so good eh? I see that they accept paypal which is great, but do they have the option for choosing the price on the shipping label like hobbycity do/ what price was marked on yours? |
I just got done running another pack through it's cycle and it held great, 2 out of the three are superb so far.
I don't think you get to choose shipping price due to it being free, then again that is what happened when I purchased them. |
Fare prices.
Well we all knew it was going to happen at some point. Now with Hobby City and Yes Hobby selling lipo cells at FAIR competitive prices maybe the rest will soon follow. It's about time. Now these are prices that I can live with. Paying $150 to $300 for a 5000 mah battery pack has never sat very well with me. Especially when you know it is probably only costing the makers about 10% of that to make them. I believe that the hay days of Maxcramps will soon come crashing down. Once word gets out about these cells and people start reporting good results with them, who would want to keep going back to MA paying rediculous prices? Not me.

^that.
$60 is a good price for sure, but that equates to £40; anything over ~£18 is charged import fees and vat when it arrives in the UK so I'd like to be able to choose the 'value of goods' that is printed on the customs label in order to circumvent customs duties. Highly immoral given how screwed up the goverment's finances are at the moment but, I can live with myself knwing that Gordon Brown aint getting his slice... |
I just bought 2, well see ?
Thanks for posting. |
Looking forward to seeing more of these tested.
What packs did you get Bondo? And what do you plan to run them in? |

Anyways I will get some close up photos for everyone in the morning. And of coarse some more testing. I think I will get the Losi out and do some high speed runs to test the output during those intense pulls. So far they have been a bunch of smiles on my face, I cant get over the 20 minute charge times. Boy I have been missing out on that one with my 1c packs. I couldn't imagine a 3 or 5 C hyperions with their chargers capable up to 15 amps must be ludicrously fast charge times. I think I have found the direction in which I will be taking with my future lipo purchases. I may even swing around to replacing my 4s 2650 Zippy packs with their 2s 5000 hardcases later for my Revo. |
hmm, might have to test the 6s 3300's out, about the same price as the turnigys, but if theres free shipping hell yea!

Not to jack the thread but has anybody here ran the blue lipo over at hobbypartz? I have a 4s 2650 40c and it seems strong. They are out of alot but I have a couple of 2s 5k packs coming. The heli guys seem to like them also.

Those hobbypartz lipos as well as these Battman lipos got me thinking some where along the lines of the Chevy Cobalt and the Pontiac G5. They are the exact same car with a different label. My bet here is that these are the exact same cells from a manufacturer in China, just labeled by a different distributer. Same can be said or Zippy cells, though they have their name on each cell, and I have yet to take apart one of these packs. I just have a feeling though, considering each distributer offers the same size mah packs, and that they are made up of cells with generally the same dimensions. Unlike your Hyperion or Maxamps, where their cells take on much different cell dimensions and such.
Anyways I got to taking some photos of the packs for you all this morning... http://img38.imagefra.me/img/img38/2...cm_d539795.jpg http://img38.imagefra.me/img/img38/2...4m_331e67a.jpg http://img40.imagefra.me/img/img40/2...6m_b7ac757.jpg |
i think these are more the dimensions of turnigy cells, blue lipos are a bit shorter
