integy shocks...keep bending them
i must of bent all eight shocks now with stock oil weight in them...is it me or do they suck, the stock shocks laster longer.
|
How heavy is your truck? Do you do alot of jumping? what weight oil is in the shocks? Are you using those cheap springs that come with them? LOL Alot of crap to get a question answered ain't it:D :D

stay with the stockers. cheap to replace. with progressive springs and not too thick oil they are good. other but much more expensive options are the LST shocks (need some mounting plates), buggy shocks (need some special shocktowers like nova, flm etc). mounting alu shocktowers needs some alu bulks too etc. rhylsadar |
Yeah, that's what made the Integy shocks famous and notorious!! bending shafts..
If you want some bling, check the HPI A712 shocks, they are nice too.. i'm considering a set of them.. I like them low though, so a buggy shock setup, like Rhylsader mentioned is nice too. A set of the Ofna shocks from UE will do the trick, in combination with the towers Rhylsader mentioned. |
are you useing the stock integy shock shafts you could shurly upgrade them to stronger shock shafts. try different springs and oil.
|
Mike.l, its hard to find replacement shafts for integy, its just better to get stock.
|
your right. but i trust tyler can aslo find good spring and oil combinations
the super-maxx shocks are probably your best bet in this case./piggyback or piggybackless. there good shocks ither way. beacause now your stuck if your shock shafts are bending on you your just going to have yo keep on replacing the shock shafts or just get better shocks then itegy. |
im still debating on what to do, i only got them because my LHS had used ones for $20 and regular stock plastics ones were $38 for 4. The LST shocks have 5mm shafts then i cant see bending them, i plan on geting the FLM savage extended a-arms kit. thanks for all the help though guys.

no problem I trust tyler
|
hey i trust tyler,
www.2coolrc.com actually has some replacment integy shock safts for under 5$ a shaft not bad... |
That is bad, considering they will bent again, just as easy..
Those shafts are crap. Do a search for those shocks on savage-central, and you'll see what i mean. |
but serum they can be fine wow 5$ but if you were to replace the whole shock then those cheap shafts can be used for the mean time!
|
Just get rid of those integy's as fast as you can, and get the stockers or the UE shocks.
|
Mike L, who cares for those shafts? they keep bending.. like i said, they are crap.. just do a search for them on savage-central, and learn from other persons experiences.
The stockers are stronger and their replacement shafts are 5 bucks for 2... |
i know!
i would personally perfere unlimited engingeering |
