Best servo saver/steering for E-Maxx?
With UE and Pro-line out of the picture what's the best option for a good quality servo saver/steering today?
I have a couple Proline servo savers here, actually if anyone wants one - I think I have 2 or three NIP in a box around here. :)
I want one. Should I PM you, or email you?
Email is fine. :)
You've got mail! :)
Has anyone tested the new 3908 and such stocker out to see how they hold up?
I do the double stock servo saver on all my runners. Takes all the play out of the steering system and works well. There is a thread on it somewhere. I would be doing it on my flm truck I'm building, so you can see pics in my build thread.
Yeah, but the double stock servo saver mod requires the use of two servo's, right? I only one servo in my trucks.
Great question. I will see what it does with one in my truck when I get it in. Should be tomorrow. I will post back and let you know.
Have you tried kimbrough?
Nope, haven't tried Kimbrough. I see now I didn't mention it clearly but I actually meant complete new steering (like UE or Pro-line).
The original Maxx servo saver is actually a Kimbrough unit. Even two of them with dual servos isn't up to par with the UE or Proline bellcrank style savers.
I ran into trouble with my build, so it will be a few days before I can test out the single servo with the dual stock servo savers.

Someone need to come up with a 1/8 style saver for the Maxx. The Traxxas design blows. |
