Painful track

From what I heard it was dirt but theres a body shop behind it and they were kicking up too much dust so they had to carpet the outdoor track. The muggy would fly off those jumps but the landings ugh

I guess it would be nice that your RC would stay nice and clean, wonder how often the carpet needs to be replaced? I am sure an outdoor dirt track requires a lot of maintenance, might save a lot of time and effort by doing this!

Do turn marshals also have to vacuum between races?

ClodMaxx 09.23.2012 11:50 PM

i don't think a Roomba would make it up those hills....

I hope that's "outdoor" carpet

I would be stoked if I even had a track near me...carpet or otherwise!

Oh, and BTW, the body shop could always MOVE!!!

jayjay283 09.24.2012 04:29 PM

yeah the truck was darn clean for a day the the track. I don't know about marshalls with a vacuum (lol @ roomba) but I know 1 jerk with a muggy had to go around picking up rocks he kicked up all over it with a muggy

yellow springs... 70wt oil in there was a pogo stick flip landing, made for alot of laughs . Red springs and 40wt 17mm hubs and the badlands to see what that carpets really made of

Did I just see an outdoor carpet track and an indoor dirt track? Someone's doin' it wrong.

Its all ass backwards here in Illinois. Where im standing in the 1st pic is a giant cement road divider (you can see in 2nd pic) You dont skid when you hit the breaks on carpet with a monster truck. Theres 2 feet to stop after clearing the jump. I would clear it, hit the breaks and it would flip into the cement wall. Geniuses...including me for repeatedly doing it

I take it there is a full service hobby shop on site? 2 feet to stop after a big jump should yield some broken parts...
