How many cells for 36120?

I got me a 36120 coming back from bk. I have 4 3s limn packs setting around as well.
I was debating on putting them in 12s form. I was wondering if the 36120 could handle that man. It put it about the 50.4 volt range fully charged.
What motor would take that voltage and stay under 42000 rpm?
Should be crazy any way if it works.

12s... too cool but make sure you buy a Camcorder with the motor! :D

It's close to it's limits..

I guess with a not too hot motor it will manage.

Well, 36 NiMH cells are 50.4v right off the charger (assuming about 1.4v/cell), which is the same as 12s lipos. I think it should work.

Assuming the nominal lipo cell voltage of 3.7v, that's 44.4v total. You'd need a motor with a kv of 946 or less.

Not even a LMT 1950/10 goes that low. If it gets too hard to find a inrunner, why not try an outrunner type motor? Those tend to have lower kvs...

a 1950 13t & up have a low enough kv rating...check out the link http://www.bk-electronics.com/catalo...oducts_id=1646

That would be a cool challange! I think he would have to give up the biking for a while and get to working on the RC more! LOL, then he would be cheating on his bike! LOL:027: :005:

1950/14 or 15 would be good, or a Feigao XL 18 or 19.

Those might be kinda hard to find though. Maybe a large scale flyers websight or something.

I have found a 2240 10t. I can change the windings to a 17 turn I think. It has a kv of 870. I wonder how the power would be. :D
I am thinking of staying with the 1950 size cans. If not 22 series. Unsure of
vehicle at this time. Do you think would have heating problems if gearing right?

boss 302 11.22.2006 12:09 AM

try the 2240 that would be insanely powerful on 12s just get a vid of it while you are making the run

crazyjr 11.22.2006 04:17 AM

Hey Leroy, if you need the 2250/10, let me know. I'm not using it right now

Right on CC! Thats what I'm talkin about :017:
Why mess with 6S when you can go 12S
I'd recommend sticking with the 1950 series if you can.

coolhandcountry 11.22.2006 11:15 AM

I got a diff mount for a 1950 or xl can. I am thinking of going with like a 1950 17 turn motor. That give me a little extra cushion. Any one know of a 12s lvc. 36 volt minium for cut off. HEHE! Sounds like fun.

Your insane DUDE....best of luck...lol
