good deal or no?

i figure as long as it runs its pretty nice.

rschoi_75 01.30.2008 04:43 PM

I think you did great. Sell off the engine and you'll have a very nice roller for under $100.

t-maxxracer32 01.30.2008 05:32 PM

o im keeping this baby gas.

lol..............

really though. i am.

i wanna keep it cheap and fast. if i convert it it will be over 500 bucks.

Shame on you! Nitro is for people who can't handle brushless!

t-maxxracer32 01.30.2008 05:38 PM

i handle my brushless xt8 just fine thank you!:lol::party::party::na::na:

lol serisouly though i like gas. the way they sound and the smell mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

BrianG 01.30.2008 05:59 PM

Yuk! You like the smell? Blah! It gives me headache - that and the constant steroid-enhanced mosquito sound.

t-maxxracer32 01.30.2008 06:15 PM

lmao mosquito sound!! HAHAHA

idk. i like both types!! brushless is my passion though:intello:

BrianG 01.30.2008 06:18 PM

Yeah, on race-day, it sounds like a swarm of angry bugs inside my head. What makes it worse is that you can't swat them (well, you can, but the owners tend to not like it).

MetalMan 01.30.2008 09:18 PM

Nitro fumes burn. Trust me. When I start nitro engines on the counter at the LHS I work at (for tuning or whatever), I can't have them running for more maybe 30sec. at a time, as my eyes begin burning at that point. I've noticed the same thing with my Revo 3.3 when I'm outside and trying to tune it.

MTBikerTim 01.30.2008 09:58 PM

Yes nitro is best used in open well ventilated areas. I have started my truck with the door closed and regretted it a few times. The noise is a pain when you have more then one truck running at a time. I can't wait to get my brushless truck finished so I can drive when ever and where ever I want. Donuts in the garage with out suffocating or going deaf :yipi:.

Shame on you. You should be banished to the corner to wear a dunce hat for that kind of statement on this forum. :mdr:

lincpimp 01.31.2008 12:31 AM

To each is own. Nitro is smelly loud, slow, lacking in torque, weather sensitive and tempermental. And do they really make a decent glow igniter? I could not find a decent one. The only gas vehicle i have is my lightning street 1/7th scale on road car. It has a .26 and will do 45mph. Fun to play with.

starscream 01.31.2008 12:36 AM

Did you also realize that it is known in the State of California that nitro fuel can cause cancer and birth defects... :na:

gtxracer 01.31.2008 12:41 AM

I have a nitro Monster GT

But PinkVo, the crawler, and the CRT I have coming will all be brushless. I think my Micro-T will be brushless at one point or another. I plan on building a kickass RC18T when I'm deployed, which will also be brushless. :mdr:

DrKnow65 01.31.2008 01:01 AM

My favorite nitro grudge it not paying attention to the exhaust while tuning, and having the oil spot on my pant leg :(

Then there's the "oh it got shady, better stop and tune it. Wait now the sun is back out??? better tune it. You can't be serious shady agan!?!?!?!?"
