I guess all things come in pairs...my girlfriend and I just broke up

2 years....gone. Isn't Valentine's Day great?

EDIT: Who the hell wants PinkVo?

lincpimp 02.15.2008 12:58 AM

That sucks, how much for pink vo?

Really man, 2 years is a good amount of time, any good reasons for the breakup?

gtxracer 02.15.2008 01:04 AM

Last week she just told me she needed space and then today she told me she's "not in love with me anymore."

Whoever wants PinkVo, just send me a PM with an offer. I just want it out of here. Oh, and my laptop just died, as did my Xbox 360. I still haven't bought another XBox and I don't know if I will be able to afford one right now, not to mention a laptop. I got a warranty on it but I'm not sure how long it will take to get it back. I guess I'll be going to the library and using my new LG Voyager to do all my computer stuff. My PSP works too....ugh.

MTBikerTim 02.15.2008 01:17 AM

I can't help with the other things but what's the laptop doing?

bluonyx 02.15.2008 01:24 AM

Sorry to hear about the breakup, but I thought things usually happen in 3's?

oh god don't say that!!! wait... oh yeah. i'm not in a relationship. WHEW. hee hee.

seriously, sorry to hear that gtxracer. and could she have picked a more insensitive time of year to end this?! i was going to say she may take some time and realize she had a great thing with you, but i wouldn't want someone back who's that cold!

lincpimp 02.15.2008 01:30 AM

Sorry to hear man, how old are you? Sometime things like this, although difficult, can be for the best. Even two years is better than 3 or 4. It is difficult to move on when you have spent alot of time with someone, but look at the good times you had, and try to learn from the bad ones.

gtxracer 02.15.2008 01:57 AM

I'm 21. The hard drive died in the laptop. Thanks for the kind words guys, the support here is amazing. I know I did some things wrong and we've had our bumps but I didn't think I deserved this. Things were going better than ever and then she just up and left me. I talked to my dad about all this and he gave me some good advise, as usual. We'll see how this plays out.

snellemin 02.15.2008 02:17 AM

What kinda harddrive is it..pata or sata. I have 1 of each laying around. Do u care what capacity it is? Otherwise you can have it.

LincPimp said it right...learn from the badones and don't forget the good times. Makes you stronger brother.

BP-Revo 02.15.2008 02:36 AM

Yeah I had the same thing happen to my laptop, it sucked. Now I don't do anything computer related without at least one pair of harddrives in a Mirrored RAID array to safely store my important stuff.

About the girl, sorry to hear. If I have to say something, its that people grow drastically between 15 and 25, and still grow a lot after that usually. Its quite hard to find the right one that early. Don't beat yourself up over it too much. Apparently it wasn't meant to be. You didn't do anything wrong.

However, the sudden dismissal is an eyebrow lifter. Was the relationship slowing or anything before that?

dark96 02.15.2008 02:50 AM

hey man sorry to hear bout ur plight. sadly enough my ex said the exact same thing to me too, and i mean the exact same thing to the T, except mine was @ thanksgivings. then 2 weeks later i hear she is seeing some guy, go figure. hope it all works out for ya man, and sucks that everything else isnt working out.

Remember that its a laptop nd probably has a 2.5 enclosure. (I think, never learned what size they were but I have a 320MB drive with windows 95 preinstalled if you want. :P

BP-Revo 02.15.2008 04:33 AM

Laptops do use a 2.5" drive as opposed to the otherwise 3.5" standard. There are some 5.25" drives out there though, not sure if they are made anymore. They were known as "big foot" drives if I recall...

I actually bought a Laptop HD and a 2.5" enclosure to make myself a portable hard drive. Its nice and handy - plugs in via 2 USB ports (the second one is for extra power) and is 60gb. I could have easily gotten more capacity but I didn't need it and decided to save the money for something better (like RC!).

bensf 02.15.2008 04:59 AM

You might want to take a look at tthis one.

Keep your chin up. you live right around the corner from Boise State. I remember driving around there on a Friday night. Looked like a good spot for a single guy. Plenty to go around up there.

snellemin 02.15.2008 09:25 AM

I have a 40gb 2.5" pata drive and a 80gb 2.5" sata drive. Just checked.

suicideneil 02.15.2008 07:36 PM

Man, women eh? **shrugs shoulders and shakes head**

Cant be any more comfort than that, I have no luck with the ladies either.....

JERRY2KONE 02.15.2008 07:51 PM

Women???

You know the thing is that we men never really know what the hell these women are thinking:diablo:. Here is my view on things. A lot of people would say don't be so giving and keep your personal thoughts to yourself and you won't get hurt. My father use to tell me that nothing lasts forever, but still the only way you will learn from any of it is to hang your heart out there and be honest with her and yourself. If you get hurt that is just another one of Gods lessons for you. We learn new things from each relationship that we enter into. Sorry to say that is just the way life goes for all of us. Some people take a few weeks to recover or longer, and even still there are some who just jump right back on the next bird that passes by. Each to his own. You will get passed the pain and bounce back when teh time is right for you. We all wish you the best and as seen in quite a few of the threads on here we will lend our ear and our advice if you ask for it. Have a great weekend and find something to do that makes you feel really good. Good luck with that.

Oh and one more thing. The one way that always helps heal the pain quickly is to trade up when you start dating again. Never go backwards:gasp: That saying "ugly is only skin deep" is Bulls*&t. Ugly is ulgy all day long and into the night:rofl:.

gtxracer 02.16.2008 01:03 AM

The laptop is under warranty.

It really hit the fan last night. I might not be around too much but I will poke my head in here every once in a while. If PinkVo doesn't sell on here it will go on eBay.

Thanks for all the support and wisdom guys. I have some work to do.

t-maxxracer32 02.18.2008 01:27 AM

me and my g/f just broke up too and it is hard. everything was fine so she said but then one day boom done.

just gotta find some way to move on. unless there is hope between you two then you really just need to forgive and forget.

dont dwell on the past.

this is what my dad told me and it helped me alot.
