Hi there!

Hi, I'm a new member, but in no way new to rc. I'm friends with Dafni and am camel_rc's brother......except I do better projects. ;) My most recent project was an Ofna 9.5 buggy that I installed a Lehner 2800xl and Warrior 9918 in and actually got me on the map......with a feature article in the upcoming November edition of R/C Car Magazine! There's actually a couple pics in the current October issue:

I've also got a few other rc's, including a AE T2 with a Lehner 5300......another fun one to say the least. The other's are: Twin Force (being remade for more power, cheap style though), rock crawler Clod, and AE 18MT. They're kind of random choices, I know, but they're all fun in their own way......especially the Ofna. I love how freaking powerful that thing is, breaks all 4 wheels loose with a quick stab of the throttle. :D

Oh yeah, and I'm a ride op. at Six Flags Magic Mountain, no I won't get you in for free. :L:

Hi Dabid, glad to have you here! Welcome! I already wondered when you would register.

Hey, I hear you about doing better projects

crazyjr 08.15.2005 10:38 AM

Welcome Dabid. I wondered when you were going to sign up.

Serum 08.15.2005 04:35 PM

Welcome to this forum.. Friends of Dafni must be nice..

dabid 08.15.2005 08:31 PM

Thanks guys, Daf has been really cool, I've known him as an e-friend for a year and a half or so.......he's always been leaked my project ideas before I go public with them. :D

I don't have too many new ideas for my stuff, but mainly improvement concepts.....owning a car has taken a big chunk out of my rc spending. I guess with me a vehicle is never "done", I'll think of something cool and try to work it in.

I'm also a college student in Southern California majoring in "Manufacturing Technology", basically, machining.

RC-Monster Mike 08.15.2005 09:45 PM

Welcome to the site, Dabid! Perhaps we can find some work for you when you finish school! I always enjoy making stuff, though I am no machinist! If you are a friend of Dafnis, you must be a great person, so it is a pleasure to have you here!

Dafni 08.16.2005 02:02 AM

Thanks for the kind words, Mike and Serum. And don't take Dabids statement too serious, I can keep a secret. :p

dabid 08.16.2005 02:28 AM

Daf, I meant it that I told you my secrets before anyone else knew about them, and you kept them a secret as well. Then there was when you were building up the Revo and had all the stuff shipped to my house for a layover, that was cool. :D

Dafni 08.16.2005 03:01 AM

It's all good, now I understand. It's the fine details that still give me trouble with your language. I mistook "has been leaked" for "has leaked". No worries, sorted out.

Yeah, it was cool, indeed. Before I met Mike, oversea business was kinda hard (and expensive) for me, and you helped me a lot. I still appreciate our friendship, and Camels too. It's just a shame that I live this far away. Even if I haven't met you guys in person, I can say you are decent lads. And I wish that one day I can cross the big pond.

Hey, it's not that bad where you live, you're near BK Electronics-land!

Dafni 08.16.2005 01:33 PM

Haven't said it's bad here. Would just be nice to have the chance to meet some of you guys. Bashing, racing and having a good time, aaand, having Camel making a video of it :)

BK-Land?! Yeah right, but I still get my stuff from RC-Land ;)

coolhandcountry 08.16.2005 01:43 PM

If i didn't live so far out in no where land. I could meet people in general. I have to pipe in sunshine. :lol

Dafni 08.16.2005 01:47 PM

Coolhand, how long would it take from your place to Cali or to NY, by car, or plane or whatever??

Excuse the chattering, guys. Just curious.

coolhandcountry 08.16.2005 02:18 PM

To cali i would guess 3000miles or better. I closer to mike. I could be at mikes door in 13 hours. by car that is. I guess a little closer than you.

Dafni 08.16.2005 02:40 PM

A bit closer, indeed. I think I could be at Serums door in under 13h, by train.

coolhandcountry 08.16.2005 03:29 PM

You could beat me to the swiss alps though. :) I don't have any close neighbors though. My drive way is .5 mile long.

Dafni 08.16.2005 03:39 PM

Plenty of bashing ground around your house!?! And nobody complains about the nitros. Nice.

Yeah, I grew up in the alps. Since I moved, it's only mountains in front of me, not all around.

RC-Monster Mike 08.16.2005 09:52 PM

I can get to Myrtle beach in 12 hours. Virginia has to be a bit closer. If you have a free 8 hours, make the trip up. I'll make the coffee! :)

coolhandcountry 08.16.2005 10:15 PM

Will I didn'twant to lie. Traffic may be heavy. I like to see ny. Just don't want none of the city part. I have to bring rc if i come. Maybe you can show me some pointers. :)

dabid 08.16.2005 10:50 PM

Bah, you guys are all way too far away from me, but the HQ of R/C Car magazine is only 10 minutes away........5 from the place one of my machining classes meets. :D

RC-Monster Mike 08.16.2005 10:57 PM

I have some family in SoCal. One day, we may actually meet, Dave! I was actually out there last year for about 6 weeks.

crazyjr 08.17.2005 12:16 AM

I live between coolhand and mike. I live in georgia

camel_rc 08.17.2005 01:30 AM

It's about time you joined!

Yeah, Daf is one of our best friends. We tell him of secret projects before anyone else knows about them and we hook each other up with stuff.
