I don't know if this controller could be put in a truck, but if yes, this should be a solid choice!

It looks nice and all but man $300... I would rather spend it on an MGM or a Quark were you know that what your getting is not only high quality, but that it can handle just about anything.

It is only 224 with the 25% discount CC has.

On the other hand then it isnt half bad.:rofl:

After all the last histories about MGM, i'am more confident about this castle one.
I'am prety sure that the $300.00 spend on this castle is a way better investment than puting it on a MGM or Quark

What do you want, i'am little frustrating about MGM controller for now. My 16018 has the curent fuse problem, i've send it to MGM and today, 9 days had past since MGM have return me my controller and i've not recieve it yet:whip:

Anyways, i don't want to start a big debate here, but as i said, my first experience with MGM controller don't worth the $300.00 i've put to get it.

But maybe this Castle don't work with a pistol radio.

Well no esc company is going to be perfect ya know... MGM IMO is by far the best made ESC's out there right now. You really cant beat what you get.

Are you actually running one ? Keeping in mind that a few months back you would swear till you were blue that the VXL was better than the MM in every way. So far my MM controllers have outlasted every high end controller I can get my hands on. The MGM is an expensive controller. IMO it's just not up to snuff for the price. Hopefully in the future they will get the design and the software implementation perfected and It will be a much better ESC.

I would be willing to give that new phoenix a shot if it works decent with a pistol grip.

Back when MGMs were new to us in the U.S. they were priced incredibly low. You could get a 12012 for something like $150-180, but they didn't have their higher amp/voltage ESCs out yet. I remember watching the price of that same ESC jump up almost $250! Whether it's MGM increasing their profit margin or the decreasing value of the dollar or a combination of both, their ESCs are just too expensive IMO.

As for the Phoenix 180, I'm sure it will be robust. Some minor heatsinking will make it even more capable. However, I couldn't justify spending $225 on it, when you can get a HV-110 through Tower for only $200 with the right coupon. HV-110 will do double the voltage of the Phoenix 180, and it will push out almost 1000 watts more with the right battery (5280watts vs 4320 watts).

If I read the posts correctly MGM are having LVC and breaking issues ATM which require factory firmware upgrades and MM are running 5S on 1/8 far beyond spec and just released firmware upgrades which everyone can update with just a USB cable - MM $115 / MGM $300...

Now I agree if you want 6s then MGM or Jazz are the ways to go...

I've look for the HV-110, but it seem to be a pain to program for a pistol radio.

There must be more of an issue then just the type of transmitter used.

Airplane controllers, Marine Controller, HV controllers, mini controllers. Cooling problems? Brakes? Reverse? Amp Draw, Volatage KV RPM BEC 4s 2s LVC 1515 1521 1y 1.5d and I though piglaten was tough.........

The cc Hydra HV 180 would be a much better choice than the phoniex 180.

No it's a joke, Joe is a nice guys and he tell me that somes pats that don't provide from us (castle) is missing, like casing, user manual, and somes others, don't remember.

But for sure, if this MMM do the job it's suppose to do, that will be a killer controller.

I too have a MGM 16018, While mine has been near flawless (once all the quirks were figured out), I too feel its atlest $50-$75 over priced. I'd like to just get my hands on the new MMM without the cheapo motor when it comes out to run my Neu. I own 5 castle BL's ESC right now and wouldnt replace them with anything else!

Have you guys seen these , they are going out the door so fast that they cannot keep them in stock , A few guys have them on the boating forum just waiting for some results . 200amps for that price can't be beat
