hey all, Brian here. DickyT refered me to this site. i have been viewing for a while but i would like to get my name out there.

currently i have a stock emaxx. origionally narrow maxx i just converted to a widemaxx.

2 DTX 4200's, just ordered SPC 4600 7cells.
i traded some things for the 4200's and immediatly ripped my rear driveshaft apart. lastnight i ordered the replacements for the front and back from Tower. so i went home and threw the front on the rear and was playin around for 20 min or so when SNAP, there went my rear driveshaft. heh. i have been running 3000's this whole time. so i wasnt used to the change. like DickyT says, "run it, break it, fix it, love it"

anyways, i am waiting for a settlement check from McDonalds for an umbrella hitting the side of my car, which i conveiniatly sold right after it happened. with that check i will be getting a fueigo 8xl motor, MM esc and ubec. of course i need the steel idler gear and a few other small parts. but i am working my way up.

So Brian how long have you been playing with R/C? It sounds like you are just getting started. If you are going the way described previous then you will want to upgrade your drivetrain in order to survive the brushless power upgrade. That move is fun, but it will also cost you a little more in order to truly enjoy the full benefits. Once you start it is hard to resist. Good luck with that :lol:

ok, so i just got home and havent seen any of you guys post and i am about to fall off my couch. you guys are crazy. i like it though. everyone is bashing eachother in the forum when they arent bashing their RC's. nice..

as for the drivetrain, thats all coming. tommorow i will get my set of street tires, new driveshafts and also ordered the spc 7cell 4600's that should arrive tuesday(ish).

i amanxiously waiting for this check to come in from McDonalds so i can use it to buy the brushless things i need. definatly going to get it rollin nice soon.

i will take some pics this weekend when DickyT gets here. we are going to dye some wheels, install my new driveshafts, glue the new tires, MAYBE go get a new body. MAYBE.


one more thing.. any update on the MMM? its either that setup for the fueigo.. what do you guys think? HONESTLY PLEASE.

Honestly if I were you the MMM sounds like a nice addition with all of the hype:yipi:, but the actual release date is till kind of a mistery:gasp:. We would all like to say that it will be here next week, but that is just not the answer we can give at the moment:neutral:. If you are in a hurry to get this truck rolling then you may want to go in a different direction for now. From all of the gossip the MMM will be the jelly in your donnut:yes:, and it may be out sometime in April, or maybe even May:oh:. No one wants to hear that, but reality is that CC has no honest answer at the moment:diablo:. There are a few alternatives you may consider like the Quark Monster Pro 125B, one of the MGM 120 series, or even just the plane old CC MM for now:lol:. Money is the key.

Anyway welcome and glad to hear that you get our sense of humor here at the Monster. Life is good so have fun and enjoy the trip:party:.

Yeah but there is still hope for you yet linc:na:. I am some what of a smartass myself, :whistle: but with age comes a little rationality. Life is short and I really do believe that positive action causes positive reaction for the most part. Mom always told us that we have to be the better person no matter what the conflict:oh:. So yes I can use my wit, but not at the cost of engaging in something that may blow up in my face or even hurt someones feelings. What I like about being on RC Monster is that most of the senior members tend to keep things in perspective. We all get a little bit out of hand at times, but this group works well to keep that under control, don't you think???

And yes I do like placing some smiles in my posts. That might be just the thing to brighten up your day pimp. If I can make you spit milk or soda out of your mouth laughing at something that I post, even better. :rofl::lol: We are who we are, but still we are learning every day posting on here. Life goes on.

Well said Jerry, but I am far from a senior member! I have done this stuff for about 2 years now, so I have much to learn!

I love a good laugh as much as the next person, probably more! Luckily I can keep my liquids down, mainly as a few friends of mine and I used to try and get each other to do the "spit take" when we went out. So I got used to a good crack while I had a mouthful of beer. I still laugh out loud sometimes, and the wife always wants in on the jokes!

ok here is the story...

i was out to lunch and down here in south florida McDonalds gets a bit busy during that time. so they thought a 2nd drive through ordering line would help. it does. some guy stands there, takes your order on a PDA and you follow the next person to the window. well, i was the only one in the 2nd line this day and after he took my order he told me to follow the guy in the truck. 2 seconds later there is a car that pulled behind me and he gets up to take their order. at this very moment a huge gust of wind came, the umbrella covering him from the sun blew over, rocked on his chair and the concrete base slammed into my front left bumber, knocking it so hard it was falling off. the bumber broke in one spot and the screws came out making it drag.
so i got out of the car after the guy just looked over like nothing happened. i said hey buddy, look what just happened. "uh, oh... did i do that?" moron, of course YOU didnt, but it just happened in front of you, call the manager and get him out here. so the manager came over, took some pics and gave me some insurance information.
i conviniantly was selling the car the next day. so i put some screws to hold the bumper in place to show the car, guy didnt notice it and i get a new car the next day. i did have an Acura CL 3.0, now i have a Jeep Laredo.
so i get a call from the insurance company, they said to call and get a quote, fax it to them and they would send me a check. thinking to myself "hmm, Acura is probably the most expensive place to get a quote."

$667.50 check.:rules: its on its way. :na::party:
they should have just wrote is out to rc-monster instead of to me personally. :wink:

Yeah isn't life great:yipi:? You know of course with every good thing that happens like that there will be two bad things to follow. So don't spend your money ot quickly:whistle:. You should have had a cup of scorching hot coffee in your lap at the time, and sued for a million dollars, Or at least acted like you did. Then you could have gotten a ton of toys from RC Monster.:lol::lol::lol:

ya, that would be nice. i think i would just go buy a real monster truck. lol. bash that thing around!!!
