CC Bullet 6.5mm CC Bullets - Set of 3 each female and male 6.5mm connectors

OMG OMG OMG!!! Awesome. I can't believe it's going to take a few weeks though for it to hit the shelves still . My savage is so close to being finished. I can't wait.

The case looks really sturdy. Another good thing is that the case protects the caps. My friend discovered the caps on his MM are a little exposed the hard way. Once again castle comes out with the innovation to make this esc the as reliable as possible.

cart213 03.31.2008 07:17 PM

Nice! Where'd you get the pics?

Edit: Nevermind. I figured it out.

suicideneil 03.31.2008 07:25 PM

Chunky little monkey it is, but it would look really nice on my Gmaxx.....

jnev 03.31.2008 07:29 PM

It looks awesome! Even has a built in fan! Now... to decide what to put it in. Can't wait to hear how it holds up for all the RCM members.

BrianG 03.31.2008 07:49 PM

Looks good! Except for the fan. Pull that baby apart, remove the fan, and replace the heatsink with one slightly larger and I'll be happy.

What's_nitro? 03.31.2008 08:08 PM

Honestly, BrianG, did you have a bad childhood experience () involving small computer fans??? :na:

BrianG 03.31.2008 08:09 PM

lol, no. I just don't like 'em. I'm a BIG "fan" of KISS ("keep it simple stupid", not the band, although they weren't bad either)...

What's_nitro? 03.31.2008 08:12 PM

WOW! My parents like KISS too!

I say it depends on how loud the fan is. If I could hear it standing above my truck (body on) then I wouldn't want it.

ilpufxit 03.31.2008 08:34 PM

Oh Yeah!!

I'll take two as soon as I see the "Buy Now" button. One for tomorrow, one just for today!

jordan... 03.31.2008 08:49 PM

Thats awesome, very darth vader-ish. :diablo:

So I don't get it; is the OP a beta tester or something? Thanks for the pics regardless of how you obtained them.
---edit--- nm, figured it out

brushlessboy16 03.31.2008 09:17 PM

the shroud is probably just to conceal it, it pobably wont go into productin like that

MTBikerTim 03.31.2008 09:19 PM

I think the fan is a good idea. If you get a stick or something dragging in the drive train the fan could be the difference between blowing the esc or not. The fan forces air over the esc even when going at slow speeds and as castle says this is what is hardest on the esc. No fan would be great but I don't see how you would do it any other way.

It actually has a pretty big cross cut heat sink already. The fan doesn't do much until you start really slamming it (like full throttle, full brake, full throttle, etc...) because it stays pretty cool most of the time.

Phase-Phase resistance is .000216 ohms. 67 mils of copper thickness on the circuit board. 6.5mm plugs with 10ga wires -- male plugs are included (and in the first run of production, we may be soldering the 10ga wires to the board... I don't know if we will have quantity of the solder-down bullets in time for the first production run.)

FIRST POST! YEAH!

What's_nitro? 03.31.2008 09:28 PM

^ :surprised:

cart213 03.31.2008 09:47 PM

 Welcome aboard Patrick! I guess you got Mike's email then?

Don't mind all the bitching about the delays. All will be forgiven once it's finally released.

I'm amazed at the capability of the little MM in my truggy. My non-CC motor is actually the weak thermal link in my system, not the MM. I can't wait to be impressed by the MMM.

FIRST POST! YEAH!

WELCOME PATRICK!

Wires or plugs is fine, can't wait to get mine.

Arct1k 03.31.2008 10:36 PM

1hr left to get them on the web site with 25% off? Wishful thinking?

:rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl:

That's pretty funny!

I will say what's not funny is seeing this thing and Patrick's post - freaking awesome!!! Nice to see you stop in and make a showing Patrick. Very respectable and much appreciated.

I can't wait to get that long awaited email from Joe saying the first ones are ready to order.

very... would be nice though.

Welcome to the boards Patrick!

lincpimp 03.31.2008 11:17 PM

Welcome Patrick!

Looks like I have found the esc to power my hyper st truggy when it gets here! (yes, I bought another vehicle to convert)

JERRY2KONE 04.01.2008 12:09 AM

Thanks

Just what you needed lincpimp, another R/C vehicle. Soon your going to need a show room like Jay Lenno to hold all of your toys.

Patrick welcome aboard. Thank you very much for the update. We really appreciate your efforts. As you may have noticed there are a ton of guys in panic mode drewling for any info about the MMM, so you stopping by will lift our spirits. Nice work on the controller. Looks pretty cool. From the sounds of it this will be out very soon. We are all very excited about the comming of the Lord of monster truck speed controls. I bet a lot of guys will purchase two of them just to have the spare on hand right up front. Way to go CC.

lincpimp 04.01.2008 12:56 AM

Hmm, I wonder how many of these I should buy? 5 or 6? I have a few vehicles in mind that could use a solid 4s esc, and a few 5 and 6s vehicles too. Plus what can I do with the old mm escs? Looks like it will be time for a twin motor/esc something or other! Mabey my racebomb could go dual motor!

DRIFT_BUGGY 04.01.2008 01:27 AM

I don't mind having the fan. Most people run fans with the MM anyway + it looks alot cleaner than it does when you mount your own fan

Just send your spares to me linc and i'll give them a good home (not that you don't have enough homes for them). This is fantastic news, Thanks Patrick. I bet patrick is happy they finally got a case (or 2). I received my massive 6s NueEnergy pack in the mail today, only 4900mah but it seems huge to me. It just makes me want the MMM even more.

jhautz 04.01.2008 02:03 AM

Looks good. Looking forward to it. I'm sure its gonna be a hell of a power conductor. Kinda big to squeeze onto a buggy chassis. But for a Truggy or MT it should be just the ticket. The buggies can stick with the MM anyway, they run perfectly there.

As long as your here Patrick... How about a MM with a switching BEC built in good for 5s or at least 4s. You can ditch the built in USB port and put it in that space. Just program it like the other ESCs with the Castle Link. That would be a perfect 1/8 buggy esc. I know... I know.... So many requests, so little resources to get it all done, but I can ask cant I. :mdr: You can call it the MMM Lite, or the MM on Steroids.

bluonyx 04.01.2008 02:03 AM

Welcome to the boards Patrick!

I've set my homepage to Castle now, so I can be one of the first!

gixxer 04.01.2008 02:40 AM

thanks for the info and welcome to the forum.

Serum 04.01.2008 04:15 AM

Thanks for the info Patrick; Any change you guys are going to use the beta testers at some point?

DRIFT_BUGGY 04.01.2008 04:22 AM

Anyone know the size of the ESC or approx. $ yet?

gixxer 04.01.2008 06:36 AM

patrick posted this on rcgroups

This would mean street price around $170 for the ESC only.

Dagger Thrasher 04.01.2008 06:54 AM

That is looking freakin' awesome! I love the way that Castle have not only catered to its electronic durability as it were, but also to physical toughness. Love it! I *cannot* wait until this beast is unleashed.:yipi:

As for size, I believe the footprint is 1.95" x 1.75".

JERRY2KONE 04.01.2008 07:06 AM

Size Matters.

Yeah it may seem a little bit over size for some, but that is why it is called the Monster Mamba Max. It is geared towards the Monster truck group. Something powerful enough to push the Maxx and Revo trucks around the track, but small enough to fit without issue. Hopefully versatile and dependable to. :yipi:

Happywing 04.01.2008 07:27 AM

OK, I'll ask...WHEN!!!
