1. Wow
2. Wow wow.

I dont think I've seen too many RaceBombs, and a carbonfibre one is even rarer- excellent truck dude, and nice choice on the motor & batteries, should go like a rocket!

Welcome to the forum.

lincpimp 04.07.2008 06:33 PM

Welcome to the forum, and nice racebomb!

I have the racebomb with the lexan upper and lower plate. I am still finishing the build. I do like the carbon fiber, it looks very nice!

_paralyzed_ 04.07.2008 09:01 PM

dead sexy

xcntrk 04.07.2008 09:05 PM

Man that's one LONG chassis! Look at how tiny that full length Emaxx tranny looks in that sucker! Nice rig

jnev 04.08.2008 12:37 AM

Sick truck man. I really like!

flo65 04.08.2008 02:33 AM

hello,
Thanks all
The Race bomb proof carbonfibre is very rare !
We are two in the world to possess

Bomb-Proof 04.10.2008 09:51 PM

hmmm never seen a bombproof before or heard of it, looks alot like an emaxx, that things gonna be sweet tho!

Bomb-Proof 04.11.2008 09:38 AM

That chassis is pretty much indestructable also, its 100% carbon, no filler and its all quasi layed. Way stronger than the xtreme and gorilla stuff. So dont cut that puppy any slack...it can take it.

suicideneil 04.11.2008 11:22 AM

Nevr heard of BombProof chassis, Big Greg? You should be ashamed! Here: BPP.
I prefer the RaceBomb to the torpedo chassis myself, nd the extra length (longest chassis ever built for the emaxx I believe) would be really nice for drag racing and such.

Bomb-Proof 04.11.2008 11:43 PM

Yep, and nothing even compares to it in the air...Thats the best flying truck you will find.

flo65 04.12.2008 04:16 AM

yes, This truck is the best !
I still have not received my package...

big greg 04.12.2008 09:31 AM

sorry neil! lol yea dunno y its never came up to me before, spent to much time on traxxas!

Sweet. Are you planning on keeping the 2 speed, or locking it into 2nd gear?...

flo65 04.17.2008 02:32 AM

Hello,
Locking it into 2nd gear

lutach 04.17.2008 10:09 AM

That is one good looking ride.

crazyjr 04.22.2008 02:13 PM

I'm browsing the site right now. It wroks fine for me.

Bomb-Proof 04.22.2008 07:49 PM

the java is probably messin ya up. I had trouble updating the site, and due to lack of emaxx popularity for a while I just havent updated it much. Since its coming back with the new emaxx and erevo, I will update it when I get a chance.

suicideneil 04.22.2008 10:35 PM

Permission to ask silly question:

Is it still possible to order the RaceBomb chassis (or anything for that matter), as a special order thing? Any plans for the future- Erevo or Emaxx 3905 wise?...

sweetride4me 04.28.2008 06:46 AM

I have a torpedo with all the fixins I might be getting rid of..... as well as a full metal emaxx tranny with reverse...

suicideneil 04.28.2008 01:43 PM

I wasnt so much interesting in buying one (awesome as they are), more just curious if the company is still alive and well....

Stick your chassis on ebay though, and if I stand a chance at winning a bargain, I might bid on it...

e-mike 04.28.2008 11:45 PM

:surprised:this is the e-maxx that i always dream...

sweetride4me 05.02.2008 08:45 PM

Chassis is on ebay, same ebay id as my user name....

I still have parts, but no chassis plates. "Cold Fusion" wanted to do all of my plates at one time, and said they could handle it. Turns out they only made 1 run and couldnt handle it, which left me with no machines set up to cut them anymore. I still have my CNC equipement, just nothing for the plates. I have alot of new stuff no one has even seen, but the second I show it off....its always on someones assembly line ready for sale. So, it becomes quite disgusting to come up with new stuff only to have it stolen and not get the credit/profit for it. Ive seen direct 100% copies of my stuff in magazines with zero credit from it. The only stuff I show now is the stuff thats a nightmare to duplicate, so atleast I will make people work for it. I started making lowrider parts (old school Impala's, etc.) and made stuff for $100K cars....stuff that was never done. Within a month, someone copied it completely, after I did the 6,000 lines of G-code to machine it. I have some really trick parts now, but have no intrest in showing them off to have someone copy em.

suicideneil 05.04.2008 02:16 PM

Damn, I can understand how you feel. Dare I ask, have you ever looked into getting the designs patented, then releasing them once no-one can legally ripoff your work? I know the patent process is somewhat long winded and complicated, but it would be travesty to have so many good designs go to waste...

A Patent can get expensive and it only takes a few changes for someone to get his own patent as well based on the same design.

Are you still going to make your truggy chassis? It makes a fine HV chassis and I'm loving mine. Can you make the center motor mount and bearing support mount? I need 3 center motor mount. One for a normal 25mm motor mounting space for normal M3 screws, one for Neu that uses M4 type screws and one for a Lehner 22 series 30mm bolt pattern. I would also like the mounts to be around 5mm lower.

Regards.

exactly.

Lutach, I sent ya a PM a couple weeks ago bout the mount.

I still have the truggy's here, my main problem is finding time to get everything back in line for em. I have probably 15-20 sets carbon fiber chassis, towers and braces already done for em.

Ideally what I would like to do with the truggy is have a couple more guys that can actually machine parts with quality, and have an idea of what the thing is...and build the best electric race truck ever made. There is alot more to the truck than most people know, it can be adapted to nearly any truggy suspension and all kinda cool stuff like that. I wouldnt mind other places to make parts for the truck for example, I am sure Mike could come up with some cool slipperential ideas for it, etc. Its the best platform available period, its made for electric from the get go. I have all the files of course, so the parts can be easily adapted. I just know I dont have the time to build every inch of every truck and give it the support it needs to actually let people race it without letting people down at the track. If I am putting it out there as the best race truck, I wanna be able to have someone parts in hand the next day if they need em.

Yes, I replied and gave you my e-mail address and I also sent you an e-mail for you to send me the file. Your chassis are rock solid and I don't think racers will need any support from you. They will need support for everything else like the drive train they use. Brian the HV saga is just beginning and your chassis can easily fit 10-12S lipos. I will see if the center mount can be made and if so, I'll try it out in my truck first and then buy a few of the carbon fiber sets and add the Kyosho ST-RR suspension on one and try out a RC8 suspension on another. It should be some fun projects and all will be HV. How many people so far still have your chassis that actually races them?

Bomb-Proof 05.04.2008 03:41 PM

5 of em are out there, all of em are still kickin as far as I know. 4 in the US and 1 in France. I tried to break it and I never had a problem. The weak point is the brace to tower mount, thats the only part I have ever seen break. Its an easy fix, so it isnt catastrophic by any means. The cast plastic ones were the weakest(most were cast), I ran billet plastic on mine and they were unstoppable. Its perfect for the HV plans you have, with room to spare. I will email the files to ya asap.

I will keep making videos and show proof of how easy it is to run your truggy with an HV set up. I can't thank you enough for making an amazing conversion. You and Mr. C are definitely pioneers of the truly 1/8 scale electric conversions. I will wait for the files and will you be able to make it or should I ask Mike to do them for me?

Bomb-Proof 05.04.2008 06:52 PM

Its probably gunna be quickest if Mike can get em done for ya, I keep getting swamped with stuff. I have been tryin for 4 weeks to get a chance to finish a simple part, just cant get the time to work on it. Either way, we will get you runnin.
