New HPI 1/8th MT

http://www.hpiracing.com/hellfire/

on BYT forums a guy posted this
jus wanted to let you guys know

looks like a competition for the Mammoth ST
and more like a bigger Jato(except 4wd)

=)
somebody hopefully convert this to BL

its like a Lightning from Hotbodies since HPI and HB are same

but its more sleeker i guess and and some changed parts

Gustav 09.03.2005 04:01 PM

Whoa, they kept that quiet.

Chassis is very adjustable. Adjustable anti dive, anti squat, kickup, ackermans, roll center, inboard toe etc etc.

Does a lightning have all these adjustments?

coolhandcountry 09.03.2005 04:55 PM

That thing looks right nice. I can't tell what is the drive train consist of though. Tranny or diff?

Gustav 09.03.2005 04:57 PM

It says center diff.Claims easy acces to it,just 4 screws.

coolhandcountry 09.03.2005 05:26 PM

sweet man. Make a conversion easier.

Shadow350Z 09.03.2005 05:31 PM

Shadow350Z 09.03.2005 06:15 PM

im guessing around 400$$$

Shadow350Z 09.03.2005 06:22 PM

if i get one
firsrt thing ima do is gut every nitro stuff out
sorta planned alrdy heh
the ESC goes in place of the tank
put the BL where the Engine is
and everything behind else is for the batt

Serum 09.03.2005 06:24 PM

Yeah, probably about the 400, i also heard that they include a .28 (K4,6) HP version.. (stronger than the normal .28..) sounds like a serious racer to me!

coolhandcountry 09.03.2005 06:27 PM

I would have to take it out and blast it a few times. Just to see if the brushless was an improvement and how much.

Shadow350Z 09.03.2005 06:35 PM

lol
ill get it and dont run nitro at all
and sell the engine and the pipe and the tank brand spankin new
and get some money for a BL setup

coolhandcountry 09.03.2005 07:31 PM

YOu do have point get more money for it if never run. I think it would make a great ride as brushless.

Shadow350Z 09.03.2005 07:44 PM

yup
bid it off ebay

Shadow350Z 09.04.2005 03:29 AM

RC-Monster Mike 09.04.2005 01:01 PM

Serum 09.04.2005 02:26 PM

Shadow350Z 09.04.2005 04:54 PM

Shadow350Z 09.17.2005 07:43 PM

Gustav 09.17.2005 08:07 PM

That is good news! Where did you hear that,on the website i think it only mentions the RTR.Is it an SS,like with upgrades.

I found this on the hellfire page:

The Hellfire will sit along side the Savage in the HPI monster truck line-up. The Hellfire is fast, low and aimed at track enthusiasts, while the Savage is a proven “basher” with oversized durability and maximum ground clearance. Both trucks will be available in ready-to-run and kit versions.

Looks good :)

crazyjr 09.18.2005 12:36 AM

Cool, if only it had a plastic spur gear

Shadow350Z 09.18.2005 02:09 AM

yeah i found the info on the HPI web
^^^batfish posted it
i forgot too lol
i was gonna take o pic of the site and post it to be legit
but if you go to the hellfire page and go all the way down
it in the very last paragraph of the page

Waxxxymunkee 09.18.2005 10:31 AM

Price is around $650.00 for the RTR :P:

Shadow350Z 09.18.2005 01:28 PM

r u serious?

Serum 09.18.2005 01:30 PM

Towers is offering it RTR for 599..

Shadow350Z 09.18.2005 11:41 PM

how much do you guys think the kit would be??

dabid 09.19.2005 02:58 AM

I still doubt that HPI would sell it for any more than $450, they'd be killed by their own child company, Hot Bodies!

toby 10.02.2005 08:15 PM

I really like this truck and think it would bea VERY nice BL conversion
