E-Revonut 04.18.2008 11:28 PM

It's about time TRAXXAS!!!! I'm selling me G2R Chassis, possibly my E-maxx(3905) so I can get one of these!!!! Any takers on the G2R PM me! It'll be on ebay by Sunday if I have no offers.

G2R chassis
Stock front and rear diffs, bulkheads w/ 50k silicone diff grease
G-Maxx single speed w/ revo slipper (won't be on it for ebay, will list seperately)
1 wimpy 40 oz/in Futaba servo
G3R carbon fiber esc mount
I will also be throwing in a Traxxas TQ radio system uninstalled

jhautz 04.18.2008 11:30 PM

Looks like a nice job by traxxas. I'm curious to see more on that tranny configuration.

fromdaboz707 04.18.2008 11:30 PM

I Want That!!!!!!!

$10 :mdr: Its already devalued with this news.

I'm actually a little annoyed... No 17mm hexes, not sway bars... how can they call it the "Ultimate Racing Revo" without that. They have them on the Revo Platinum. :bad:

One more thing as long as I am wishing.... Please release a roller Traxxas. You know 90% or these are going to get the MMM istalled. Why force us to buy the evx and titans and servos and radio.

I know... I'm never happy.

Seriuosly though. I'm surprised they didn't try and get more milage out of the Platunum Edition before releasing this.

lincpimp 04.18.2008 11:45 PM

Well. I read the whole deal. Looks interesting, but it is really setup for 4s or 6s, specifically a pair of 2s or 3s packs. I may buy one, but I do not have a pair of 3s packs at the moment, and do not feel like building any more 4s vehicles.

I will keep an eye on this, make sure that you guys post pics!

i hope that sell the e-revo roller because if not i might just continue on my current e-reov project

gtxracer 04.18.2008 11:52 PM

Great timing, I wouldn't be surprised if this was planned with CC. I don't like the tranny setup, I wanted something like a 1/8 center diff upgrade that is more towards a single motor setup.

Plus, I just got into truggies. They're 10x tougher, faster, and more race worthy. Revos have their place, but not if you want to advance.

I was hoping to add another zero on that as I was already planning on selling it before seeing this, but if I don't get any resonable offers my buy it now on ebay will be 3/4 of that.

Trying not to advertise any prices here, just commenting on a joking offer

jhautz 04.19.2008 12:14 AM

I'll be keeping my G2R-Revo. The new Traxxas has got nothing on it that I can see.

rchippie 04.19.2008 12:45 AM

I wonder what it's going to cost ?.

jhautz 04.19.2008 01:14 AM

.4 inch longer wheelbase than the 3.3 revo. Thats cool.

I'll take a wild guess and say within $50 of the new Emaxx prolly in the $425 range

how much do you want for the gr2

jhautz 04.19.2008 01:43 AM

Yea... $50 to $75 more than the Emaxx seems like a reasonable guess. The Revo 3.3 is about $75 more than the T-maxx 3.3.

DRIFT_BUGGY 04.19.2008 01:50 AM

Its about time but very late to the party. Why the Titans?

i think they put the titans in because they want to keep the price down but i bet they will do a V-twin Revo as a concept car

DRIFT_BUGGY 04.19.2008 02:15 AM

Impakt RC has it listed for $599.99

This is good news; though the chassis/layout looks rather tupperware to me?

Serum 04.19.2008 02:23 AM

the pictures imply that there are nitrid coated shock on it. I can't imagine that to happen.

By judging the pictures, the chassis seems to be plastic, so there must be some kind of brace that holds it together at the bottom.

Sammus 04.19.2008 02:44 AM

Awesome, I wonder what size the battery trays can accomodate... hopefully A123 thickness, it might solve my layout problems :P

That is an estimated price and subject to change! The list price for my Revo 3.3 when I bought it for $500 from Hobbypeople was over $900. I really can't imagine this being more than $450. Which is still high considering 90% of us are going to immedietlly pull off the radio, esc, and motor. But I will still be one of the first in line!!! I'll be putting off the MMM to get this, I'd rather get this and have fun with it and then put the MMM in this anyways, plus I'll be able to wait till the MMM combos come out

jnev 04.19.2008 02:56 AM

Its about ****** time!! I think I'll be keeping my Revo for now, as its working awesome. Traxxas really thought it through though. Looks to be a great solid design.

it is a good design but there is to much plastic i would rather have a GR2!!!

jnev 04.19.2008 03:25 AM

I would also prefer to have the g2r or g3r, but for the regular basher, it should be plenty tough.

MTBikerTim 04.19.2008 06:48 AM

That does look cool but I do worry about the size of the battery it will take. It this had been out when I decided to build an electric monster truck I definitely would of bought this instead of building my savage. Now we just need to start praying for electric truggies and buggies.

Dagger Thrasher 04.19.2008 07:05 AM

Blimey! The sneaky so-and-sos...just when we're least expecting it (especially so relatively soon after the new E-Maxx), blam! They release this with no build-up or warning. It looks good though. Very...unique-looking chassis, but certainly looks well thought-through. There appear to be a lot of minor durability upgrades (bulks, axle carriers etc) if you look in the detail section of the micro-site. That's gotta be the weirdest tranny layout I've ever seen though lol, for the Titans.

Way to go Traxxas! I just wish the chassis had an aluminium basis...the plastic is probably perfectly tough and rigid, but it'd just be nice to have some aluminium in there.

crazyjr 04.19.2008 07:11 AM

I will eventually get one and test the 6s capability of the tranny, it will run alongside the G2R i have

xcntrk 04.19.2008 07:35 AM

Finally... I'm so getting one of these...

Mister-T 04.19.2008 07:41 AM

E-Revo, Traxxas did it !

Just great !

david lamontagn 04.19.2008 07:58 AM

Why Traxxas always put a plastic chasis on all their elecetric model????????????
Why not an aluminium chassis for this e-revo, and just the batterie box could be in plastic.

And for the batterie size, they don't tell anything about this.
Is a pair of 3s, 5000mAh will fit in it?
