Another beast from HPI
The HPI Baja 5B
new 1/5th scale Buggy from HPI looks nice like the Hellfire http://www.hpiracing.com/bb5/ another RC mikes gonna put on his Xmas list hehehe |
Thats just screaming for a disjustingly poweful brushless system.....
|
The HPI engineers have been busy then.
A small detail but i like how the diff outdrives sit on bearings in the diff cup rather than the usual metal on metal. |
I'm in love......certainly more detail put into it than buying a cheap 1/5 from a Chinese distributor and slapping your name on it......::COUGH:: Duratrax and XTM ::COUGH:: :D
EDIT: Just noticed they went with an 8mm thick chassis, holy cow will that sucker be durable! |
Yeah and 2wd. AGAIN!!
I can't beleave there are so many 2wd lawnmower powered bigscale's. It is a nice design, but comon, a true offroad must atleast have 4wd. Maxxdude, You mean something like this? http://hometown.aol.de/M0Wurst/IMG_1713.JPG (yes that is a bigmaxximum on the left) http://hometown.aol.de/M0Wurst/Big5_1-001.jpg Allthough that's an 1:5 onroad, i'm sure it'll fit in any 1:5 |
Ouch.. You hurt my feelings Sneeck..
That is one UGLY car... ( i simple don't like those 1/5th 2stroke cathedrals..) |
I hope you can forgive me but I couldn't find an offroad bigscale with such a massive bl motor.
|
The 2280....
|
I can forgive you quite easy sneeck..
|
I would like to see a better pic of that 1/5 on road with the fat plettenberg. How many batteries do you run?
|
It's not his, it's a german experiment..
I would put my money on a 2280 over that baggybigmaxximum (as investment) |
OH! The 2280 is not small motor either. I like power. Big motor means big power. :)
|
Uh oh. We have everything converted here. We have a Jato, Savages, Buggies, an MGT, LST, Revos, HB Lightning, HPI MT .... but for this one, well, I think we have to draw lots.
:L: |
i told you about my brushless Volvo?
|
LOL Trunk, back-seat and passenger-seat full of NiMH cells?!? :L: Does it wheelie?
|
LOL... no, i think it needs a dual setup..
(and another thread is lost...) 1/5th is nice, but i like the 4wd more.. |
so will someone convert the HPI Buggy 5B??

Don't look at me.. I'm not interested in a brushless 2wd cathedral..
|
Look at the bright side serum. You won't have far to go when that big crash comes. You just start praying you didn't break nothing. :) It would be a nice project if you could get it. Have to wait a little while. If you like big toys there is one guy that has them. The tire is bigger than an emxx.
|
Thank God that thing isn't mine lol. Onroad? Who need's onroad.
Nah, like Serum said, 4wd + offroad ownz. This is more my "thing" http://www.unlimitedengineering.com/...tachmentid=824 http://www.unlimitedengineering.com/...tachmentid=826 http://www.unlimitedengineering.com/...tachmentid=863 Allthough it should have some 40 serie wheel's, a single motor and some lipo's, this would be quite awesome. |
I didn't knew you had a crush on red crosses Sneeck?
|
They are linked from UE forum, I can view them fine.
Here we go; http://groups.msn.com/sneeck101/shoe...to&PhotoID=198 http://groups.msn.com/sneeck101/shoe...to&PhotoID=199 http://groups.msn.com/sneeck101/shoe...to&PhotoID=200 |
I smell KOMODO's... ;)
well....it IS 4wd.. |
I have to get the HPI BB5! It's not a matter of if, but a matter of when and what do I have to sell to get it.
|
lol
that 1/5 buggy is an Emaxx with a new Chassis looks hella nice tho |
It's big, it's fast, it's brushless. What more do we need?:p
|
more money to buy these?

Geoff. You need to ask camel rc about it. He had one he converted. I think he had rear problems twice.
