Bk 18120

Im thining about buying it, i see a good deal for a new one . Anyway, is it a good motor for e-maxx? Could it use more powerfull motors like a plettenberg? Is it worth the cash or am i better off getting a schulze 18.97 or some other ESC at that price? PS. If i purchase it, would any1 be interested trading a used 9920 and cash for it?

RC-Monster Mike 09.07.2005 10:07 PM

The 18120 is a great controller. Match it with a 7xl and a few cells and you have a winner of a system!

coolhandcountry 09.07.2005 10:31 PM

I don't get what you trading. YOu going to buy a new controller and trade it off for a used 9920 and cash. Or you have the 9920 and cash to trade for the controller.

nbcaznmaster 09.08.2005 12:19 AM

Nah, im probabbly will HAVE THE NEW CONTROLLER, TrADING FOR A 9920 adn cash. I dont need that much power yet! So i rather get a cheaper, less powerfull setup. 7XL is too much power for me. Besides, its gunna take FOREVER to charge all them cells.

nbcaznmaster 09.08.2005 06:19 AM

should i spend that money on a schulze 18.97? Is it better then the BK?

RC-Monster Mike 09.08.2005 06:23 AM

You don't have to run the 7xl on high cell counts. It works perfectly fine with 12 cells, to. I prefer the BK over Schulze, because they tend to stand behind their stuff. Schulze always manages to blame the customer.

Dafni 09.08.2005 06:36 AM

I'd take BK over Schulze any day!

The 120amp ESC is nice. Always a good thing to be on the save side.

Agree with Mike, the 7XL is already quite something on 12 cells.

coolhandcountry 09.08.2005 07:56 AM

You have you had a 36120 I would like to have it. I don't really need a 18120. the bk is cheaper. Bother will work for what you are wanting todo. If I get another one it will be bk. I heard bad things about schulze. Never had problems.

Serum 09.08.2005 12:50 PM

LOVELY!!!

my favorite subject...

A lehner is not capable of running a fourpole plettenberg.. (this was the case about 1 year ago, i presume they still can't) but why boughter if you can have a 1/3rd of the price Feigao?

The 7XL is awesome.. Smooth.. And has got an extreme power.. (you can hook it up with 18 cells)

the fourpole plettenbergs have got this nasty cog, from dead.. (because the magnet and the stator has got a huge resistance. Once it's on a roll, it's as smooth as you want it to be though..

I like the 7XL over the plettenberg bigmaxx..

And to answer your question.. schulze or BK?

I have got some reasons why to buy a BK instead..

Dafni 09.08.2005 12:54 PM

Serum, I saw this one coming :D

Serum 09.08.2005 12:59 PM

Yeah, glad i found this thread...

nbcaznmaster 09.08.2005 03:51 PM

OMG!! I LOVE BK!! DEVIL SCHULZE! DEVIL SCHULZE! I DONT WANT MY RC TO DIE!!! Hmmm, 300 bux for a new bk...should i DARE? seems to good of a deal...wut u guys think? should i take the risk and use buyer credit on paypal?

coolhandcountry 09.08.2005 04:03 PM

You can get the 9920 for 200. Where does the other 100 come in. Unless you getting a real good deal on a new one.

Serum 09.08.2005 04:06 PM

Mike accepts credit cards.. no need for paypal..

nbcaznmaster 09.08.2005 04:09 PM

300 bux for a new 18120 (though he he has no orginal box and it seems like he installed deans andstuff on it). Hopefully his word is good. Shoudl i risk it?!?!? LOl, i know mike accept paypals, but untial mike sells me a used or refurbished esc, i wont be buying from him. I'll buy a motor from mike since thats not to expensive and you cant trust used electric motors.

coolhandcountry 09.08.2005 04:13 PM

It is not the motor you trust. It is the person you getting it from. Same as the esc.

What does this mean?

Mike can get you a NEW 9920 for 200 dollars.. If i had the choice in those two, and knowing what a great service to expect from Mike, i would not even doubt a split seccond......

Dafni 09.08.2005 04:20 PM

Amen

Serum 09.08.2005 04:27 PM

Scary.. check my no of posts a day...

Dafni 09.08.2005 04:45 PM

That's a lot of posts, and you're Member Number 40! Wait, I'm Nr 50.....ah those were the days.

bcampbe7 09.08.2005 04:51 PM

When you get burnt by this internet sale for a used 18120 you can buy a new 9920 from Mike. By saying you will not buy from Mike unless he sells you a used or refurbed ESC is a bit absurd don't ya think? Used 18120 for $300 or new 9920 for $200? Don't think just in terms of money. Mike's customer service is second to none in the industry. He is going above and beyond to help me and I haven't purchased a thing from him...yet!
I too hope to be buying a 9920/7XL from Mike shortly.

nbcaznmaster 09.08.2005 06:14 PM

the 18120 is new. Well, i like to live on the DANGEROUS SIDE! MUAHAHAA!!!!:lol :lol :lol So far, whenever i buy used, nothign bad happened. Thats cuz im EXTRA cautious

Serum 09.09.2005 01:20 AM

Rock on..

Why did you even boughtered asking this question here? you allready had it figured out, so what's the use?

nbcaznmaster 09.09.2005 06:28 AM

i asked if it was GOOD CONTROLLER for e-maxx and stuff.

captain harlock 09.09.2005 11:17 AM

Well, if you go to LMK website for more info you'll see that the micro and warrior controllers were actually made for MTs and 1/8th scale cars. I believe that they are a bullet proof once you know how to behave with them.

nbcaznmaster 09.11.2005 10:39 PM

what ryou mean by "BEHAVE". is it really hard to setup or its hard to controll is the only diff the higher constatn amp? Antyhgin else special that sperates it between teh 9920? iS IT REALLY SMOOTH?

Also, im debating with teh guy about the prices. I think i can get a 9l, and a 18120 for a really good price. HOnestly, i think the controller is overkill so i might wanan trade it off for a 9920 and cash. Deal will mostl likely occur so if ur intrested PM ME!!

captain harlock 09.12.2005 01:16 AM

Nah, I already wasted lots of money on my cars and its time to take a brake.

captain harlock 09.12.2005 01:20 AM

No, setting up a Micro or Warrior controller is as easy as breathing and both of them are similar in performance, but the 12020 provides you with more features and its more powerful than the 9920.

Yeah,You and I and everyone suffering from immoderate spending should find away to fulfill their needs in a way that does not suck your wallet so freakingly fast.

Serum 09.12.2005 02:48 PM

captain harlock 09.12.2005 03:16 PM

Really, it would be kind of you if you let us know?

nbcaznmaster 09.12.2005 03:24 PM

Serum 09.12.2005 03:27 PM

No, that's not a solution.. we need more stuff.. (our therapists name is Mike...)

captain harlock 09.12.2005 03:48 PM

Hmm, now that makes the whole picture clear to me. I wished you have told me that earlier. I cant sell any of my stuff Nbcazmaster. How am I going to reach my dream speed record with my RC10L3 if I sell you some of my most precious rc stuff. Brushless, that is. Sorry, but try to push yourself harder and get all your brushless stuff new in their boxes. This is much better than buying used, unwanted controllers and motors. Mike provides you with cheap, but a world class performance brushless systems. There is only one other site that provides such things for wise prices, but still, I would rather get my stuff from here.

nbcaznmaster 09.12.2005 07:08 PM

:M: :M: :M:

captain harlock 09.13.2005 08:15 AM

Heh..heh, I really think its good for you to buy new and not used.
