Hah. I was lucky enough to buy it from AustinMaxx last week. Thank you very much, AustinMaxx!

Utter crap. You need to get rid of the batteries, ESC, and motor right away! Lucky for you, I happen to have the proper disposal facilities near me.

Fkyx 06.02.2008 06:48 PM

You must have a hell of a studio set up to have nice photos like that. :P

Get it running!

Fast5sRevo88 06.02.2008 06:49 PM

Jeff, i take it your converting a losi of some kind? What are the Century heli parts for? I'm actually the one who built BrianG's hi-tech disposal site, i have the original one, so send that stuff to me and i will use it.........dispose of it the right way.

dirt101 06.02.2008 06:50 PM

what nue did you get? and what batteries?

IDK if the century pinion gears were the best choice as they are unhardened, but maybe you have a plastic spur.

I see some Century pinions there. I have some of those and they will not handle BL power for long (Edit: Even with plastic spur ). I have now pinions from Mike and Mega.

no no no, yours was the original outdated version. The one I use now is MUCH safer, updated, and adheres to all government regulations.

Judging by the number of fins looks like a neu 1512/2d (heheheh). Zippy lipos. It's early but I like my zippy's so far.

dirt101 06.02.2008 07:02 PM

I bet its by the # of fins. haha I forgot I could zoom in. I did and it just so happens it is a 2d, and the lipos are 5000mah 4s1p 20-30c zippies.

My facility has also been upgraded, just the other day the CIA set off a 7,000,000,000,000,000,000 kiloton Hydro bomb in it the other day, no damage sustained.

BrianG 06.02.2008 08:09 PM

Oh yeah, well, the CIA set off a infinity^infinity Tera-ton nuclear bomb on my facility, and not only was there no damage sustained, my facility actually improved its strength by a factor of infinity!

thorbinator 06.02.2008 08:54 PM

wow, your garages must be really strong then.

JeffEmbracedDC 06.02.2008 09:03 PM

Haha - okay so here's my "Hell of a studio"...

A mess on my floor, some broken umbrellas, a bed sheet from walmart that still has the fold wrinkles, and a sheet of glass from an old desk of mine sitting on top of a card board box and a broken suitcase.

I've been running the 4S 5000MAh 20-30c zippy packs for a while now and am extremely happy with them.

The motor is a 1515/2D/F :)

JeffEmbracedDC 06.14.2008 01:15 AM

Very nice, what is the motor cover on the rear of the motor?

Window screen material wrapped around the end bell, secured with a cable tie and trimmed. It's not going to keep dust out, but it will definitely keep chunks out while allowing the extra air flow. I'm not sure if it's overall better or worse than a solid molded cover...
