MX-3 75mhz FM. I use a Novak XXL receiver in one car, and a Hitec one in another.
I have a futua 3pm fm. Do you have to run the same name as the transmitter? I see you metal man run different.
I'm running a MX-3 75mHz FM transmitter and a Airtronics 75mHz FM micro receiver. Best investment I have.
coolhandcountry - I have had no problems running the Hitec receiver. I run Hitec's crystal that is made for this RX with a generic TX crystal for Airtronics in the TX. I use the RX crystal (that came with the TX crystal) in my Novak XXL. It all works for me :).
Airtronics, KO, Hitec and JR all are compatible with each other(pretty sure on these).
I use a Nomadio Sensor and an Airtronics MX-3. All of my recievers (4) for the MX-3 are the Hitec HFS03-MM. In my opinion, they are the best bang for the buck with a standard 3-channel 75mhz FM receiver. They are a small size and have worked flawlessly for me in my MGT, E-Maxx, OFNA buggy, XXX-4 buggy, XXX-T MF truck, TC4, 1/12th scale, and Jato.
I have also used those receivers with an M8 radio. I purchased Performance Devices Airtronics crystals to use with them. |
The receiver Batfish uses with his MX-3 is the Hitec one that I use! I also use the Performance Devices crystals! (except for the Hitec one in the Hitec receiver).
I use the Hitec 3-Channel Aggressor. Suits my needs.
I have two FM radio's. One is a JR XS3 with two RS300 recieversand the other is a Futaba magnum jr.with one stock reciever and three novak xxl recievers
MX-3 FM 75 mHz, ch. 80. :D
Right at the moment I'm using a wonderful, state-of-the-art Acoms Techniplus 2! Lol! I know, it's total crap really and as soon as I have the money I intend to upgrade to a Hitec Eclipse Pro Car. Though Ultimately I'd love a Nomadio Sensor.
Stock Traxxas radio. I'm gonna soon be getting the Air MX3 75mhz FM radio. I can't wait!

I've never ever bought radio equipment seperatly, always RTR stock stuff. To me it all does the same stuff, move your car, is there something I'm missing with buying better radio?
Yeah but when you live near powerlines , you gotta do what you gotta do
You are missing lot, Nick. the tuning options ona better than stock radio make it worth every penny.
What do you guys use to hold your antennas in. I pulled one out on accident and I just scraped another antenna off in a slide on the lid. I need help.

You can adjust the controler to not turn the wheels as fast at the beginning for some high speed. It is more precise steering. You can do the throttle the same way. Adjust your end points as well so you don't have maximum brake effect as well. To me a better controller is just what it say. Better controller. Youwell have more control. I think it is worth the money. I not saying you have to spend alot of money. I run a the futaba pm. Paid 120 for it. Some of the best spent money in rc. I like the rechargible batts for them to. Plug to charger and have a full charge. Sorry for the long reply
I use a airtronics M8 radio with airtronics super micro 3 channel fm recivers, i also use novak xxl fm recivers.

I do agree there crazy. I went to my brother house. He got a nice powerline behind his house. Wide open grassy field. You can really get down out there. That is where I lost my 7xl. May it rest in peace. :D
Thats why i went FM, hope to go Nomadio one day.
