I wish I new how to get more than one pic in the same post. Oh well here is another...

Papa 09.20.2005 08:26 PM

With these plus 22mm and an extended Gmaxx chassis another 25mm +/- the wheelies will be over.

coolhandcountry 09.20.2005 08:28 PM

22 mm more would stretch me out a little bit more. I don't know if I need it though. It is a good idea. A simple one to. I think gmaxx should make another chassis with a longer middle. You could run 9cells flat then. You could change it between the long and extra long. I take what i can get.

RC-Monster Mike 09.20.2005 08:38 PM

The G-maxx suspension has this feature built in as well. the front and rear lower and upper arms can be switched(turned over) to provide a longer wheelbase. Works beautifally!

coolhandcountry 09.20.2005 08:45 PM

Did you ever try the front extension mike? Just curious.
The gmaxx extension extends 30 mm. I have daul in mine at 60mm extended with them bottom arms it will be 82 mm longer than standard gmaxx.

RC-Monster Mike 09.20.2005 08:57 PM

On one of my g-maxxes, I run the stock chassis, but with the g-maxx suspension in the full extended position(similar to the extended chassis length). I didn't extend the front like you did, though.

coolhandcountry 09.20.2005 09:01 PM

Just thought I would ask. I designed a longer x brace on the emachine. It just would cost so much for two of them. I wanted to get them and a new bottom plate made for 9cells on each side flat. Was going to get the x brace chrome plated for some bling.

RC-Monster Mike 09.20.2005 09:09 PM

Its easier to make a longer upper plate for the extension, and a longer skid. Then, you could likely add a larger lower plate. Or you could just stack the extra cell on top!

nitrostarter 09.20.2005 11:22 PM

I need to get a RacerX kit now. Although I already have 2" extra with my BPP Torpedo chassis.

rchippie 09.21.2005 01:37 AM

I thought about these for my racebomb. But the chassis is already extended 2 inch's over stock, plus another inch, that would be 3 inches over a stock maxx. I may be wrong but on a racebomb or torpedo chassis that might be too much, i think the truck might turn like a brick. LOL!!!. But i could be wrong.

Sneeck 09.21.2005 10:28 AM

On ue forum Robin and Tom said it handled way better and gave much better turning radius. Ofcourse this depend's from truck to truck though.

I like them allot, only I think there will be allot of presure on the bulk's to keep it together.

The only thing I don't like is that body's don't look right. Even on my racebomb-length flamemaxx w/ extended F350 I don't like the gap between the rear wheels and body. But mayb other body's from other mt's would fit better?

coolhandcountry 09.21.2005 12:03 PM

IF you have one about 2 inches longer. Check into a monster gt body. I don't know what all they have avilible. I stretch a gmaxx 60mm and it is almost the same length as the mgt.

Serum 09.21.2005 12:30 PM

It's a must have..

I like them!

Can you please get me a set when they are available Mike?

RC-Monster Mike 09.21.2005 11:23 PM

Sure can, Rene!

what would you estimate as the increase in wheelbase flipping the arms? Is it too early to be putting the Christmas shopping list together? My wife has grounded my credit card til then.;) But then again, I balance the checkbook. :L:

It's just under a 1 inch extention. It's 22mm i belive.

I balance the checkbook
that, and the upcoming x-mass, is one heck of an excuse to get a set!

Flipping the arms will get you the shortes wheelbased MT.... it will wheelie with a 280 mabuchi on 3 volts...

RC-Monster Mike 09.23.2005 06:26 AM

Yeah, shortening the wheelbase may not be such a good idea.

Serum 09.23.2005 06:43 AM

Or you fancy a midnight driving with titanium skids...

Dafni 09.23.2005 06:48 AM

Yeah, titanium skids + small stones on the track + darkness = one fun session!

Serum 09.23.2005 07:08 AM

And candidate number one, thank you for taking a step forwards.., be sure to shoot a movie Daf!

coolhandcountry 09.23.2005 09:36 AM

I think mt enthusiast was talking about the gmaxx arms. Not the ue. Mike said it was about like the extension. so it would still be about an inch. The extension is 30 mm.

Papa 10.24.2005 05:24 PM

The setback arms are now available!:D

Serum 10.24.2005 05:29 PM

Okay Mike, please get me a set!

RC-Monster Mike 10.24.2005 08:36 PM

Got 'em ordered

Serum 10.25.2005 12:26 PM

Thanks a bunch Mike!!

i'm not sure with the results yet, but so far I like this concept over an ext gmaxx. don't ask me why though..

Sneeck 10.25.2005 12:52 PM

I'd like to know what it does to an hingepin/ arm when you clip a pole with the rear arm's. That'd tear something appart.

It is very nice, but 2 inches over stock is enough for me.

Serum 10.25.2005 03:43 PM

Well Sicco, the arms are not (much) longer, the force wont be any bigger as with the normal arms. The power will be less, because the arms being over the 90 degree angle. It will be translated in a sideways force

RC-Monster Mike 10.25.2005 10:26 PM

I plan on running these arms IN ADDITION to the extended chassis. Should be almost like the LSP for the wheelbase. I can still pull wheelies on loosew dirt with my truck now, so these arms will help a bit I think.

Serum 10.26.2005 01:35 AM

And the sweet part is, you don't need no other shell or you don't need to drill more holes in your body..

rchippie 10.26.2005 01:46 AM

I thought getting these arms for my racebomb, but they would make it 3 inches over stock. Thats pretty long LOL!!!.
