I purchased my mp777 chassis from him a year ago. The transaction went well, I received my item so I cannot complain. But the packaging was lacking (just the roller in a box, no newspaper, or foam). And the pictures he took weren't so good (dark and out of focus), so I didn't notice that none of the drivetrain or shocks were included, but that was my fault for buying something without better pictures (I should have asked for better pictures).

My purpose for this post it purely to state that my experience with him as average, he wasn't a great ebayer, but I have done business with some who were much worse. And based on that, I think if you buy something from him you will probibly get exactly what the image shows and nothing more. And he does seem to let some transactions fall through the cracks, but if you see something he has that you "need" and it is a good price, I would say go for it, at least if you cannot find it anywhere else for less.

lincpimp 06.11.2008 09:43 AM

I have heard of quite a few people who have issues with him. If it is only one guy, then he is busy, 20000 feedback in 12 months!!! I do like the part where he paid for the 800 dollar heli and got screwed out of it...

Robert 06.11.2008 09:46 AM

I've heard horror stories about him myself.

bl-is-future 06.11.2008 09:49 AM

WOW i have bought several items and have not had a problem. I think i will stay clear now though. THanks for the warning.

skellyo 06.11.2008 11:12 AM

I look at it as a buyer beware. Most of the parts he sells can easily be had for not much more on eBay from people parting out brand new vehicles. Also, since he really has no real description of the items he sells, you may be SOL if the part you buy isn't exactly what you thought it would be.

jayjay283 06.11.2008 11:19 AM

haha the Heli is bad karma biting rcwaffle where the sun doesnt shine, on that note sportsam123 owes me a $60 bombproof chassis for over 69 days. I think he sold it twice, 2nd time for $175. working with paypal for a refund, he wont return my emails (or theirs).

TexasSP 06.11.2008 11:26 AM

The guy has always irritated me. There are several items in the past I have bid on only to have him inflate the price then turn around and chop the item up and sell it for more. I won't buy from or sell to him as his feedback is very reflective of what kind of business he runs.

Again, this is why I only buy from people with 99% or better feedback.

lutach 06.11.2008 12:12 PM

I've bought a few things from him without any issues.

wallot 06.11.2008 12:34 PM

bought from him about a year ago CVDs for maxx. they were dirty but otherwise ok. lately I buy only stuff from people the chop new kits. found a very nice shop for Mugen with very nice buy now prices

suicideneil 06.11.2008 12:34 PM

I've bought from him before- not terribly impressed with the desriptions or photos (or lack there-of), but I did get my items at least. Think of him as a 'last-resort' vendor....

nolatron 06.11.2008 12:41 PM

I bought my Gorillmaxx Single Speed transmission (complete with gears) from him for less than the retail of the tranny case alone.

Arrived in a few days with no real issues.

With 20,000 positive feedback and only 145 Negatives, I'd probably by again if he has something I need for a good price.

Duster_360 06.11.2008 12:48 PM

Yeah, I've bought from him too and had no issues. Someone on here sold him a rtr rc and received neg feedback from him - said the esc and something else didn't work. All the while he had the same esc listed (and sold) on ebay. I took a few min and went back in his feedback - the bad ones - total nut job

He won't be seeing anymor eof my money.

crazyjr 06.11.2008 02:13 PM

I've bought from him a few times, its been hit and miss on description. I haven't bought from him since one member here had trouble with him, I think it was over a brushless system

Jbreddawg 06.11.2008 06:09 PM

I had a few buys from him with no problems. But... I asked questions about a couple different revo chassis's. I asked him whats the overall condition ? does it include diffs ? Is anything broke ? The answer he sent me ? "no" nothing else lol !!
I also noticed from just looking at his negatives he seems to have alot of "lost in the mails, wrong address, vacant house " excuses .
And for the final straw , a reason I would not buy from him in the future . You can no longer leave negatives for buyers. You buy, you pay , done deal .
He has left positive feedbacks for people who have left him a negative but wrote NEGATIVE NEGATIVE NEGATIVE with some lame excuse . What a scumbag . If someone pays you, why whould you leave him a negative ? Just because he left one for you ? Thats pretty low in my book.

rcmaxxer 06.12.2008 01:37 AM

Well its always good to know.I have done a lot of bussniss with him and had no probloms at all.As for sportsam he is some one to watch for.I bought a used gmaxx chase and got it and it didnt even look like the pics

skellyo 07.08.2008 07:00 PM

He's back at his fraudulent ways again...this time, I hope he gets what he deserves.

Finnster 07.08.2008 07:55 PM

I've bought twice from him several years ago. 1st was fine, 2nd was some batts that ended up being in very bad condition. One just had to be tossed. As usual pic was a bit crappy and desc short and not entirely accurate. Didn't leave - feedback due to the retaliation. So if he's got that many, god knows just how many dissatisfied customers there really are.

suicideneil 07.08.2008 08:43 PM

Just warned the noob forum kids too (again)- hopefully the feds will nail the asshole for pulling this kinda stuff over and over again.

brushlessboy16 07.08.2008 08:46 PM

traxxas forums?

electric 07.08.2008 09:54 PM

i bought a revo 3.3 chassis from him but paid and got the chassis. But won't buy anything else from him.

jnev 07.08.2008 11:56 PM

This is a shame because he sells some VERY cheap nitro rollers on ebay.

And we know why, he didn't pay for them in the first place.

Yup and that sucks. Hopefully he gets punished this time.

Skelbow 07.09.2008 01:58 AM

I'm still sort of new with the EBay/Paypal scheme of things.

For someone buying from him, is it really that much to worry about? The buyers are protected through Paypal are they not?

Only downside really would be you may have to wait a month or so to get your money refunded? If you disputed through paypal correct?

Yes. It happened to me before and I'm glad I used my CC to pay for it. My bank gave me my money back right away while they dealt with Paypal instead of me dealing with Paypal directly. It takes a long time for Paypal to refund anything.

Yes, but you'r enabling him to continue his scam and in turn, also potentially taking advantage of a seller he scammed to start with. That makes you part of the scam in my book. I won't buy from him and wouldn't sell him anything either.

From reading on other forums it appears the local police have finally gotten involved.

bl-is-future 07.09.2008 08:42 AM

ebay is getting real bad. since i found this place i have not used it since. People always have to take advantage and scam. pathetic people in this world.

I have heard of a few instances of him doing that, but this time he pissed the wrong guy off. Hats of to the guy who posted on rctech. I appreciate people like him who try to do things the right way, instead of bitching.

Maybe i should start doing what rcwaffle did, and do it right, no scamming. Parting out stuff does seem to get more money, and with decent descriptions and pics I would feel ok about doing it. I have made a few dollars lately buying local guys stuff and selling it broken up. Most people on ebay will not buy a big lot of stuff, especially if it goes over $400. I would hate to tarnish the lincpimp name though... (as if I could do that if I tried...)

jhautz 07.10.2008 05:23 AM

I have both rcwaffle and sportsam123 on my blocked bidders list. Both have purchased from me before and then a couple weeks later I started seeing my parts listed for sale. Nothing more irritating than selling a nice item only to have a chop shop part it out.

Arct1k 07.10.2008 06:55 AM

I feel bad for the guy but he is lying about his tracking no's - It arrived on the 3rd July

Label/Receipt Number: 9102 7850 9140 1599 4978 02
Status: Delivered

Your item was delivered at 4:05 PM on July 3, 2008 in HEYBURN, ID 83336.

Duster_360 07.10.2008 07:10 AM

Thge guy on rctech thread indicates waffle uses 13 aliases, so even if you've cut waffle out, you may still wind up selling to him. Ebay better pay attention - they are enabling this kind of behavior. And I guess what's obvious in this if this scumbag is willing to risk his business over this kind of scam, it must not be much of a business, or he's a total idiot.

Now that the guy he really pissed off has got authorities attention, I hope they will shut him down. He had a bunch of stuff posted for CRT.5 thats disappeared, wonder if he's feeling a little heat?

TexasSP 07.10.2008 11:09 AM

His other auctions/alias are easy to spot, they look exactly the same and I have run across them before. I am probably done with ebay after my last purchases. Their new rating system has fried my rating because of one jerk who lied. Sellers have no recourse anymore so why take the risk? I have had much better luck buying/selling on the boards anyway. Even if I take less money it balances out once I figure the ebay and paypal fees into the mix.

FYI... Looks like he is back to me...

That is setup how his use to be setup.

I have bought stuff off him and haven't had no issues.

lutach 11.04.2008 05:03 PM

I never had any issues with him as well, but making another account does make him look suspicious though.

Robert 11.04.2008 05:19 PM

There are too many questions about the person credibility to be trust worthy. I personal have not had any trouble with him. I have ordered from him in the past. I WILL NOT order again though.

bl-is-future 11.04.2008 06:54 PM

i ordered form him with no problems but i just consider myself lucky and will not tkae the chance again.
