My new E Revo!
|
I have heard the suspension is pretty soft

how does it run....I would have gone through a few packs before snapping any pics...lol
|
I stopped by the LHS and they had one out of the box. The suspension is definitely pretty soft. It seemed to be very close to my stock 2.5 Revo. Even the guy at the LHS made the comment that the suspension seemed to float.

looks good, I got a blue one yesterday and already ripped out the electronics and put the evx on ebay.
now I just have to find a mamba monster, motor and probably a pair of 3s packs. |
I didn't run mine more than 5 minutes before switching springs! About a one foot drop and it was bottoming out! Just switched them out for the included ones for long travel and much better! Currently running stock motors and esc w/ novak lvc and MaxAmps 2S 6000mah packs. Will be running mmm/8xl by the end of the week, just needsome shrink and traxxas connector for the mmm
|
From just feel I thought the suspension was great. I have not run it yet though.

I won't be able to run mine until I get battery packs in - maybe middle of the week. :( |

I just got mine yesterday. The suspension is soft, but smooth as butter. Works great on pavement because its almost impossible to traction-roll it (I was running in the rain, may e easier to roll over on dry pavement). The suspension has a lot of body lean on the turns, but that keeps it from rolling over.
My Brushless E-Maxx suspension is much harder, but it is also much heavier. OldSoldier |
pinion question
got a new e revo...with the 6-5 hv max...what pitch and tooth count should i run...thanks...
|
Mine came in today. The suspension feels very plush, but I will most likely up the oil and change to the other springs. Also will be doing a Full RPM conversion on it and the MMM + Neu 1512 2.5D setup on it.
Posted this on another thread, but it may help someone out, the TrueRC 15C 8000mah packs do fit the Erevo battery trays if you remove the tensioner. Figure this may be about the same for the 20C Maxamps packs as well. |
:gasp: Everyone getting their E-Revo....Mine will arrive earliest next week :oh:
Good for me I guess...I can see gearing questions and suspension updates... keep them coming :) |
hi jeremy1976, just wondering how much you paid for the e-revo if you don't mine telling cause i'm thinking about getting in hong kong but we got nothing here yet, and no id when are we going to get it
|
Note those going with aftermarket servos, dual setup:
One of the leads from the servo may not be long enough. I just found that out with my S3305's . Will need an extender Also, there appears to be some stops in the steering race that prevent the steering from going too far. wonder if they could be removed with no detriment to the vehicle. Got mine rebuilt with RPM parts, traxxas CVDs, and traxxas splined hubs with LPR bowties mounted. Just need to get it all electrified. |

I'll be watching your posts. I know you'll put it through the ringer. Ron P.S. This might just be what all of us old B-Maxxers need. |

I used components I had laying around to sup it up a little: (Feigao 9L and Quark 80Amp ESC) http://www.rc-monster.com/forum/show...598#post184598 OldSoldier |
Hay Jeremy1976
Soooo how is it holding up after it's first full weekend of bashing??. What are your plans for upgrading at this point?. Sweat truck.. |
Is it possible to reverse the center tranny around (so the spur faces the front like an Emaxx?
Would make more sense for a single motor conversion, if the motor in the middle remained... but if it was facing the other way.. would have a lot more room. Just tryin to figure out some ideas for my next project. -Cory |

well, I plan on getting a E-revo in a month or so....and will be running the following....but would like a suggestion on what gearing to use
quark 125b feigo 7xl w/ rcm heatsink maxamps 8000 mah 2s2p (4s) lipo's any suggestions would be helpfull |
I have to say the 7xl isn't a great choice for a revo. Big heavy 4wd is gonna draw tons of amps and get real hot. My 8xl was extremely hot. Right now my mmm is out of commision, not a bec failure though, but I will continue using the 8xl till I can get a tekno neu or cc releases there line. Was running 8xl, mmm, 4s maxamps 6000mah, and spektrum dx3r radio... Put the long travel springs in and I was getting about 15 min mostly wot. I also recomend regluing the tires prior to installing a bl system!
|
hmm, my 7xl seemed to run my gmaxx without any issues....anyone else have any input?
thanks |
I would agree that 7XL will run hot in a Revo, if you must run a Feigao in a Revo make it a 9XL on 4s unless you dont care if your motor get hot...also depends on your gearing if you gear it low it might work...(for 30 mph)
|
right...the feigao are hot motor i run my e-maxx with a 6xl and get really hot(160f max)after 15 min:yes:but if you don care of your motor,,run it hot
|
I want one!
I have the nitro Revo 3.3 and wish I would have known this was coming out when I bought it. I like driving it - when it is running - but am having more fun with my electrics (but I don't have to tell you guys that LOL). Does anyoone around here just run them stock? I don't have the money to buy this kind of truck and immediately replace everything! Other than replacing broken items, my E-Maxx has been a lot of fun right out of the box! I'd like to get the E-Revo, but would hope it would be as fun out of the box. It sure looks sweet! |
