I Want G-revo!!!!!

1 Attachment(s)
lol! im just got some questions bout the g-revo thing. How much is it gunna cost? cuz if its too expensive, ima covnert it dafni style. Also, i saw the pics of it on the traxxas, and it looks really nice. How many cells can u hook up on that thing? Whens it comming out?

PS. Mike, u dont look like the way i imagined u to be. U look real stern and intense. Unlike the laid-back mike we all come ot love!

RC-Monster Mike 09.25.2005 10:59 PM

Hey, it was hot as hell at the event. Don't let the face fool you! I am pretty intense when I race, but in the pits I am as calm and laid back as they come. The picture does somewhat make me look like an angry man, though! :)
The g-revo is headed to production. I am working on the driveshafts for it so they can be included in the kit. The price should be similar to the limited edition g-maxxes. It holds 8 cells flat per side. Up to 15 cells per side if you stack them.

mt_enthusiast 09.26.2005 12:03 AM

thought you might have been working on the single eye/eye brow like the rc-monster. ;) j/k

the shirt could be another marketing ploy too. Big ol' avatar on the back would get my attention.

on a serious note, I couldn't fit eight cells with the servos in place on the G2 chassis. Is this uncommon? I'm wondering if I would have the same problem with the GMaxx Revo setup.

Dafni 09.26.2005 02:02 AM

What pics on the Traxxas site are you talking about?? Did Slayden his promised write up?? Where?

Mike, you really look stern in that pic.... was this before or after your 10L blew up? :p j/k

Edit: Nevermind, I saw the pics. They must have up-dated this article lately.

dabid 09.26.2005 03:33 AM

Hey Mike, your last name by any chance Meloni? Separated at birth!!! :L:

All kidding aside, a Gevo or G Revo or whatever it is would be real cool, kinda get the whole electric Revo thing out there to the real world.

starscream 09.26.2005 04:37 AM

I'm happy to hear they are in production. I only race my revo so I am debating whether I should get a carbon fiber version or not

This seems to have a strange implication to those that have been running electric Revos for almost a year now. I'd kinda like to think that I've been living in the Real world and Johnny everyday has been living in the dark ages, of smelly nitro... ;)

I'm definetly onboard with the g-revo conversion. I've been a fan of the xbrace chassis for quite some time. I think that I will get a complete g-revo conversion so I can have two electric revo's

I thought the same, Starscream. A lot of people who have seen our trucks here want to do the same. This says alot, don't you think?

Ja, I'll keep my "old" one, too. At firts I thought about selling it, but I will definitely keep it. Bolt some LT rockers and big wheels on, and use it for bashing. And keeping the G-Revo as race-oriented as possible.
I'll get the Alu version, btw. Much easier to modify plates and stuff. And I already have a spare G-2 maxx chassis.

nbcaznmaster 09.26.2005 06:17 AM

any ideas on price?

Think it was after cuz theres a hacker in there! I would be pissed too!

Dafni 09.26.2005 07:14 AM

It's a Lehner. Your assumption sounds correct, though.

Mike mentioned the price in his post, btw.

coolhandcountry 09.26.2005 08:30 AM

So what you trying to say is a bout $220- 230 for chassis kit. Nothing personal mike. You don't look very tall in the pic. Then again alot of people don't to me. Just thought you would be bigger. :D

Batfish 09.26.2005 09:01 AM

Mike's actually about 8ft tall - he's kneeling in that picture ;)

No, really...I was there!

:)

Serum 09.26.2005 11:58 AM

Size doesn't matter...

(i guess that sentence is invented by italian people)

I thought it was you on the beginning of that movie that's wandering around.. I was right..

coolhandcountry 09.26.2005 03:10 PM

He got me be a couple inches. Can;t look down at every one. LOL
For some reason I just thought mike was tall. Not really a big guy. Not sure why you get these imagines of people when you never see them.
Size does mater when it comes to motor. The bigger badder motor is the one you need. :D

nbcaznmaster 09.26.2005 04:29 PM

i thought mike was fat lol!! Maybe its cuz of the logo. The logo is fat, so i assumed u were too.

Serum 09.26.2005 04:40 PM

According to that logo i thought it was a cyclops with a bad set of teeth and a remote grown onto ít's hand..

Once again a picture, how small, tells more than a thousand words......

nbcaznmaster 09.26.2005 05:14 PM

true!! this thread is going REALLY off topic! lol, anywayz! i was wondering since ur a tester, are u gunna test teh Mamba Maxx?

RC-Monster Mike 09.26.2005 07:04 PM

LMAO reading this post! The motor is a Lehner 1940/8 turn.
In order to fit 8 cells on the g2, put a spacer under the steering servo to lift it up a little.

Am I tall? - never been accused of that. 5'6" - short is more accurate! No offense taken, Leroy!

Fat? - Not really. About 185 pounds of twisted steel! :) well, alright I have a little fat on me, but I'm no porker!

Bad teeth? - Perfect-no. Straight-pretty much. I struggle with the smiling. Just can't seem to smile without it looking fake for some reason. Never really been photogenic though.

Remote grown into my hand? - well, guilty as charged! :)

Testing the mamba maxx? - YES! whenever it is ready!

Seriously, though. It was crazy hot and humid at the event, and smiling was pretty much out of the question. The picture was taken after the weekend was over-so two long days of blistering heat, little food and a lot of wrenching doesn't lend itself to a nice picture. I enjoyed this thread thoroughly!

coolhandcountry 09.26.2005 07:22 PM

Sorry to pick at you mike. You taller than my wife mike. That make you tall to her. When do you expect the mamba maxx?

RC-Monster Mike 09.26.2005 07:27 PM

to a tribe of pygmies, I am a GIANT!
No worries, Leroy. It takes more tha short jokes to offend me!

dabid 09.26.2005 08:51 PM

I'm 6'4", but I won't poke the bear if I don't have to.....:D

coolhandcountry 09.26.2005 08:55 PM

IT don't hurt to poke him. It only hurts when he attacks.

nbcaznmaster 09.26.2005 09:01 PM

lol, he'll take his army of brushless RCs and run us all over!! NOOO!!! Maybe if we out run them long enough (fat chance!), their 10L motors will fry and we'll be saved!!! YAAY!!!! lol

PS. DONT BAN ME, OH GOD OF BRUSHLESS!!

Serum 09.27.2005 01:19 AM

LOL Mike...

The only reason you'll get banned ncabz is because you are harrasing people with the 'you got used setup for free for me' question..

I need to stop teasing ncabz.. But it's sooo nice......

dabid 09.27.2005 03:31 AM

C'mon, every board has to have the resident idiot/whipping-boy, I nominate nbcaz! :L:

Serum 09.27.2005 04:06 AM

Okay, votes are counting..

Unless Ncabz doesn't want to be the VFF (Voluntary Forum Fool)Does he have a choice though, i hear people ask.. We should sponsor him as well, don't you think? everyone that votes for Ncabz, must get him a free donation with a minimum of 1 dollar for his brusless setup..

And no ncabz, with 1 vote, you can't buy a BL setup!

nbcaznmaster 09.27.2005 06:36 AM

DARNIT!! lol, why the asian guy always got to be the whipping boy?

crazyjr 09.27.2005 08:26 AM

You brought it upon yourself i guess

Serum 09.27.2005 08:48 AM

It's not about being Asiatic! it's about being NcabznMister.. ;)

Um......"Asian". :L:

Serum 09.27.2005 02:30 PM

No?? asiatic?

dabid 09.27.2005 02:34 PM

Asiatic would be if you're describing a noun, but not a person, i.e.--Asiatic Flu. When talking about a person, you can just say Asian. Heck, for darn near anything that comes from that region you can call it Asian, we Californians sure do!

Serum 09.27.2005 02:40 PM

Okay, i understand..

We don't know this difference with asian and asiatic. An asiatic person is someone who is from that part of that country, with all the common marks tipical for that country.

dabid 09.27.2005 02:58 PM

True, it would probably still be correct usage, but it'd be confusing over here.

nbcaznmaster 09.27.2005 03:00 PM

WELCOME TO BAD TRANSLATIONS.COM!!!

Dafni 09.27.2005 03:05 PM

Actually, asiatic works fine, just like americanic. :D

nbcaznmaster 09.27.2005 03:07 PM

This forum treats me just like school. With all the humiliation, and laughing and teasing...that was just from the teacher toO! lol

Serum 09.27.2005 03:11 PM

wasn't it Amerimechanic?

nbcaznmaster 09.27.2005 03:15 PM

well, i dont think thats correct word, but people still understand what ya mean so it dont matter (unless u writting a paper or something). How is it in europe? is it true that theres no ratings on TV and that there isnt that much enphesis on censoring stuff?

Dafni 09.27.2005 03:20 PM

oh, I don't know about europe as such, but in the netherlands and in switzerland, you can do, buy, watch, eat, drink and smoke whatever you want.
I heard in some states they can put you in jail for running around naked...... ah, you guys just don't know what you're missing
