Flightpower vs Thunder Power

Is this both pack is as good one from the other??
I've a great deal on TP 5000mAh, 3s, 25C, extreme V2, but i know that FP is a very good pack.

is somebody here run TP pack?

its the same company/same cells

david lamontagn 06.24.2008 03:26 AM

OK that's what i thik.
The TP have the advantage that both "+" and "-" output lead exit on the same side.
Great advantage for the small e-revo batterie compartement.

DRIFT_BUGGY 06.24.2008 06:37 AM

I have some TP packs but have only ran them a few times, no dramas at all yet

Sower 06.24.2008 12:37 PM

NeuEnergy has both wires coming out the same side too. So does Polyquest. I'm pretty sure both of them run Enerland cells as well. Can anyone confirm that for me?

I'm running a NeuEnergy now and it's great. Easily as good or better than my Flightpower was.

NeuEnergy, Polyquest, PolyRC, TP, FP, trakpower, and Hyperion all use enerland cells.

I was going to give NeuEnergy ago before I got the TP but no-one had any 5S 5000 Neu's

And what kind of cells is TrueRC using?

bruce750i 06.24.2008 05:26 PM

I bought two 3s Fp one came with both wires out one side and the other had one wire out each side..?? Awkward!!

David,
I am thinking of using the same batts on my E-Revo TP 5000 mAh 3s. You always seem a couple of thoughts ahead of me :)

Ya your right!!!
My e-revo is order today, and tonight i'll order 2 x TP 5000mAh, 3s.
With my Neu 2.5d, i'll hop that this truck will moove his ass:lol:

VintageMA 06.24.2008 08:35 PM

I am already running the TP 5000mAh 3S packs in my E-Revo and you are going to love them.

Probably the biggest pack that will fit reasonably and I only dumped 2200mAh in 15 running hard with a 1515 3d (overgeared a bit too as I only had a 24T pinion at first).

david lamontagn 06.24.2008 11:10 PM

:yipi: The e-revo is 32 pitch pinion i think???
I'll have to make an order with Mike for a complete set of 32p pinion:tongue:

David

let us know how you like the E Revo vs your truggy

david lamontagn 06.25.2008 10:02 AM

Ho! i'am pretty sure that for the track, the truggy is 100% better, but i'll probably bash most part of the time with the revo.
For sure, a truggy have a more solid drive train, with better diffs, but i've run a nitro revo for about 2 tears, and i love this truck.
Anyway, if i experiment diffs problem with the revo, i'll order the FLM hybrid diffs case only, i've a pair of Ofna Hyper 7 diffs here, so if the Ofna diff fit on the FLM casing, all will be :yipi:

I've another truggy on the way, the Jammin that Skellyo had for sale, it's me who've bough it.
I'll run it nitro with a Go-Tech 21 5 ports, RB MODS. This will be my track only truck.

I've a Savage XSS with extand TVP and a TM928 for pure bashing, and the e-revo will be my all around machine.
I'll bring it on the campground this summer and i'll paly with my kids (he have a Stampede).

Flight Power has stopped producing the "known" split wiring configuration and is now producing their packs with the wires coming out on the same side.
