Nick 10.03.2005 03:19 AM

That thing moves.

crazyjr 10.03.2005 07:52 AM

Yeah, that was quick

coolhandcountry 10.03.2005 08:21 AM

I thought it was alright. Looked like something I have drove. I wonder what it was. I want faster. :D

Serum 10.03.2005 09:48 AM

It's Promods truck, i thought it was on 20 or 24 cells. (with a 2240)

aqwut 10.03.2005 09:53 AM

wow.. a 2240 on 18 cells have that much power... Cool!!

Serum 10.03.2005 10:05 AM

Get leach message, anyway around it? Right click > Save as doesn't work either. :(

EDIT: Right Click > Properties > Copy Location and paste into URL bar works. :D

EDIT2: Wow that is fast, would it have longer runtime than a 7XL? Cooler?

coolhandcountry 10.03.2005 11:37 AM

Do you happen to know what turn that was serum? Could I expect more? :D I have to get me one. It don't look real fast though. I like the power it looks to have.

Serum 10.03.2005 11:52 AM

the 18 cell is a 2240/10 and the other one is a 2240/12 if i recall correctly.. (which i think i do)

coolhandcountry 10.03.2005 12:23 PM

I think YOu may be right. Didn't promod do the david vs goliath? I think he ran the motors in that.

Serum 10.03.2005 12:28 PM

Promod has got a shipload of motors and controllers..

:)

He likes the 2240 series the best if i filtered his stories right..

coolhandcountry 10.03.2005 12:40 PM

I haven't seen promod around. I pmed him but no reply.

dabid 10.03.2005 01:34 PM

True, quality is borderline okay, but I think that's from blowing up a smaller size to the full screen. Anyway, that sucker rips!

crazyjr 10.03.2005 05:28 PM

The first one was fast, but the second one was an animal. are they the same truck?

dabid 10.03.2005 07:23 PM

I don't think Promod's done any Plett trucks, not sure though.

Serum 10.04.2005 01:15 AM

I'm not sure either, but those plettenbergs are no smooth starters.. (the bigmaxx) why get an expensive 4 pole if a simple and cheap 2pole is just as strong, 1% more efficient and 1/3 of the price..?

Dafni 10.04.2005 01:22 AM

Let's say it all together: Pletts Are Overrated!
Class, repeat!

Serum 10.04.2005 01:29 AM

:D

This from the guy that had dreams of one going in his E-Revo....;)

Dafni 10.04.2005 02:59 AM

We live and learn, don't we!?

Just recently someone asked the question at an european forum: What is the best BL money can buy? Numerous members posted Schulze and Plettenberg

No mention of segmented magnets or Lehner whatsoever.
Just because it's the most expensive (and vulnerable) doesen't mean it's the best.
Already the non segmented Feigao XL has the same efficiency as those Pletts, btw.

Yeah, I'm glad I met the guys here, esp Mike and Serum, before I bought a really expensive setup.

rchippie 10.04.2005 03:10 AM

What about me :W: ?.

Serum 10.04.2005 06:24 AM

Brave, nice boy...

Hippie.. (can't call him rchippie anymore..) it's Hippie..

coolhandcountry 10.04.2005 07:36 AM

It is always ebay hippie. :D You could sell it and get a new system with money left over.

Thunderbruiser 10.04.2005 07:25 PM

that truck was beyond powerful...I want my bl king to run good speed but that much torque would kill the tranny and it's mounts lol

aqwut 10.04.2005 08:43 PM

I was about to buy the plett BigMax... but luckily, I bought the 7XL.. it really is a beautiful motor..... But I really love lehner Motors...

dabid 10.05.2005 12:10 AM

My Lehner 2800xl hauls serious booty on 12 cells in my Ofna 9.5, stupid power and 4wd is always fun. :D

The Basic XL are nice motors, no doubt. They spool up quick. But I could do with an XXL version, and some segmented Magnets.
You get what you pay for, though. And the Basic XL is a nice, affordable motor.

I can't wait to try a High-End motor.

squeeforever 10.05.2005 01:01 PM

the xl motors are awsome. they run a little hot and dont have all that much torque though...

aqwut 10.05.2005 03:47 PM

I think the torques are pretty good.. I just don't like the heat that they give off... anyways.. what's the highest temp esc/motors can run... before they fry...

dabid 10.05.2005 04:37 PM

'Bout 170 or so, once they hit 180, bad things can happen.

Thunderbruiser 10.05.2005 05:03 PM

that's pretty hot..i hope to keep mine very cool
